Over the last six months or so there has been a considerable amount of a debate about the future of this game. The more pessimistic amongst us have declared that it's dying, and even the most optimistic players have conceded that the game is going through a period of relative stagnation.

But who, I ask you, has the power to change things?

I refer, of course, to power in its most real sense. Not the players with the largest accounts, or the highest stats, but the players with the necessary influence and know-how to get their own way and play this game like the chessboard it is.

Is it the people who lead the major alliances and coalitions? The ETLs and Robes who pull the strings of FUALL and TFF?

Is it the players in influencial forum positions? Do they have any influence over the game?

Is it the players who fight the wars? Those who know the game mechanics like the back of their hand and haven't lost the drive and enthusiasm for constant farming and MS massing?

I'm not sure anymore, and I don't think this is an clear-cut an issue as it may have been in the past. I genuinely wonder who the community thinks are the 'movers and shakers' of this place nowadays.

To me these are some of the most "powerful" people in the game, but I dont think they can change the game.


Those who can reach Jason and communicate with him constantly are the ones who normally could, but even that is changing now.

I say the only way to change the game is for players to police themselves, their alliances, and their friends.

For the players as a whole to voice their opinions on certain subjects without the bickering and whining, but by expressing real problems and offering real viable solutions in a manner jason can not ignore.

i really hav no idea but id say people who take the time to post about it and actually want to solve the problems (i.e. you)

Well since i wasnt here in the 'golden' age of the game, what is exactly wrong with the game as it is now?

skill is no longer nessercary to grow, you can destroy someone ten times your size with ease, the prices on the market are rediculous, shall i go on?

On the point of the thread, i would say the people who pull the strings of the big empires have power in the sence they could change the game completely easily (ending the server war).

there are many aspects of both power and 'dimensions' to the game...


for some, the reputation of years of being one of the best players can bring power. In other circumstances, basic Psychology has brought power to a few, exposure and confidence...contacts and friendships...

I could, and would name names.. but I would rather see other people do it first, so I can do my usual and come in and rain on the parade.

So the question I pose to you Greg, and to all the others out there reading this thread and considering an answer? What is power? Where is it relevant? WHO has WHAT power? Do these people realise their power? Do you truly comprehend the scale of a person's 'power'... (edit, I know you approached the subject already my friend.. I am just emphasising in more detail.. what should truly be addressed before the band of mindless hounds come in and say.. well "XXX is because he has rank 1 ME.. duh hu hu hu hu.. )

Only a fool would think it is truly based on game merit a lone, these forums have a lot more worth than that...

Personally. Power = Knowledge. Nothing more, nothing less... eventually even the greatest accomplishments of the 'physical' can be over come by the potential of the mind, and do indeed depend upon it.

There is only one man , and he does not share power...

...There is no one section of the community who have the power to change this game, Only when people start co-operateing, and trying to come up with helpful suggestions and conclusions, instead of constant bickering, will there be any true power to help bring the game back up to the very high standards it once held.

...The Snap , Of course, would have the power, but really, i dont think they are playing the game. So rule them out.

I personally don't think the game will change much,even if people start making great sugesstions.Perhaps i'm pesimistic but people find this style of play much easier,forthcomming and well...convenient for not having to wait painstaking month to grow while others languish upon their 200+ mil army...

I just see one issue with that one.

you should write TJP not TTF.

TTF = TJP, ToB, other alliances and lone wolfs. <--- TTF is like what CIA was last time you know CIA had TLE, EPAc (EPAc was like 5 alliances and 1 empire) they are many bonding to fight with each empire and alliance has a saying. TTF would not be here if not so many alliances, coalitions, empires and lone wolf joined against FUALL with TJP.

FUALL = OE and DDE. <--- down here from what i recall its one HC where not all are rep from each alliance yes please correct me lol i know more about TTF on this matter lol.


So as far i see it there is a big difference on TTF and FUALL, where FUALL proberly has one leader TTF has non. To do the one leader thing you would proberly have to do TJP lol.

Within each of the FUALL Empires, each alliance does get a say on the HC of their respective Empire and in FUALL running.

While TTF -used- to be the same, various things now indicate that not all TTF alliances have a vote and most members of TTF already say TTF is gone.

I would invite you in Omega so you can see how things work but we rather you stay ware you are now , no doubt you prefer it there to .

My guess : you would all be surprised who actually has the power to change things , tho i wont be posting names here any time soon , 1 personal forum pm from Jason is more then one needs a month.

Hehe if you say so about TTF sadly i know more about TTF because i still talk to them i admit that and Tekki i said correct me my knowledge of FUALL on how they work in the matter of who runs and has a saying is not up to date and is in many ways outdated and wrong which Draleg is friendly enough to point out lol.

Lol heck i take you up on the offer just to learn i arent affraid of learning as my knowledge on the leadership and running of FUALL is kinda not what i know most of. TTF i do because i was part of it when YDE was in TTF lol.

So sure Draleg i take you up on the offer to learn about where i am wrong but your right when i have learned i would proberly leave again as i do like it where i am now.

I think the HC of the Empire would veto you Nim .
