Okay... I don't know what is my wrong with my connection.

Whenever I try to raid, I do the attack, then use the again button, so I can do the click + press enter rapidly.

BUT... I can still only get like 4 attacks/minute..
And it still takes forever to load each page.

I thought it was just because SGW server was slow. YET, today, I was fighting over a huge raid target with somebody else. By the time I got 2 attacks in, I got a message saying that there's too many realms seige-ing or something. Then after a minute or two (probably less) the raid target has been done raided already. Obviously, I realized that it was my connection that was bad.

As you see... whenever I get 1 attack in... somebody else manages to raid a ton!

I don't understand what is wrong with my internet...
Maybe something is wrong with my computer?

I have firefox 3.0. I run vista. I have McAffee. I did a virus scan, and came out clean. I use school internet through a lan cable.

I did this speed test... so my internet should feel faster than what I'm feeling now...

I also pinged google.com and got an average of 23ms and no 0 packages lost.

What's wrong?

Maybe your raid target was not inactive and came online at that time?
Could be it.

I have very bad experience with Chrome f.x. it loses the session and so forth. Connections fine, just that other browsers are better. Firefox is best I have tried atm.

I've been raiding this guy forever...

and I know it's somebody else because it said another realm was attacking at the same time...

Furthermore... he still has UU out... just not enough for a profitable raid. If it was him logging in, he would have trained all of it... and not in chunks. And I don't think his naq level changed.

And it still doesn't explain the slow-ness of all my other page loads....

Edit: Yeah... I always use firefox... but it doesn't help... :S

personally i'd use Opera browser, preferrably the most recent version. Firefox 3 has seen a relatively large number of bugs since its release. either firefox 2 (if you can find a download mirror) or Opera would be your best bet.

also, inside mcafee there may be a setting to check pages loaded for spyware, malware, phishing devices and so on. try seeing if there is such a setting, if there is and it allows exceptions, try listing SGW as one. dont quote me on it tho, i dont use Mcafee, i prefer other software.

another problem could be the firewall (if you have one installed). if you do have one on your machine, try temporarily turning it off, loading SGW then putting it back on again..... see what difference (if any) there is between firewall on or off to your page loading time.

so after typing all that, heres a short list for reference.

-try another browser (preferrably FF2 or opera)
-check phishing/virus detection per page in mcafee (if applicable)
-check firewall

in any case, first and foremost try another browser.
