I too was ridiculasly against the concept of this film, I thought it was just downright stupid, backwards life, It makes no sense.

But Haveing actually watched the film, i have got to say. Its the best film i have seen in about 3 or 4 years. Includeing the enjoyment i got from the Dark Knight.

It is utterly breathtakeing. I went in with such low expectations and was blown off my feet, Not only that, but haveing seen his almost one man performance in this film, i have a new found respect for Brad Pitt, whom before watching this, i considered a bit of a joke of an actor.

I urge anyone who has not yet, to go and see this. There isnt anouther film like it, i tried likening it to Stranger than Fiction (a brilliant film, again ridiculas concept) and Forest Gump, but frankly, Its better than both, And bigger in every way.

Agreed, when i heard what the concept for the film was i couldn't get my head round how they were gonna have an old man being born, but after seeing it i think they did a cracking job and a must see for anyone! ~Thamuz~
An old man the size of a baby. Mother died, but not because of him. Father was too horrified to care for the baby, and blamed him for killing his mom first. Later looked him up and in a rather amusing scene took his son (then resembling a 60 years old) to a brothel for the first time. ;) Very amusing.

When born; no skin elasticity, muscles deteriorated, face wrinkled like a pitbull. All in a handsome, 50cm package. Life expectancy was a few hours, then turned out to be something like 70 years or so, when he died after suffering loss of motor function, language skills etc, 'died' (or rather just shut down) with the soft skin of a baby. Quite the inspired story.
