I am over 160.. but I don't really read much into IQ.
This chart is a bit.. retarded. I doubt Shakespeare had an IQ that far above 140.

Indeed. IQ is the perfect example of whether your measurement actually captures what you're trying to measure. For example, do IQ tests measure your general intelligence or do they just measure how good you are at IQ tests? In that respect, how far are they just a reification?

Emotional intelligence? I hope you mean telling other people emotions, not just your own. But then i would call that more social TBH. Cause if you cant tell your own emotions, your remedial.
Also mines 138-140, from an official Psych IQ test, accepted by Mensa and the likes, not a **Filtered** geocities....thing.

I always laugh when people tell me they have taken a "real" iq test. Is the stroke to your ego equal to the $11000 price tag to take the actual test?

You've got to know the right people. Seems you don't? Or the ones you know are crocks selling you at a way too high price.
Besides, such tests are basically only interesting when they're about your children. Yup.

well I'm pretty sure that was the cost at the university i attended, although if they were doing experiments some people got one done for free.
you know if your smart or not, i knew i was smart from my first days in kindergarten, because i retained and could apply what i was learning better than the rest of my class. An IQ test is good for intellectual **Filtered**; intelligent people getting their ego's off so they can feel superior to average joe and one another as well.
I'll know if my kids are smart are my own, even if the test cost $50 i wouldn't waste my money on it. I'd rather spend it on something actual useful to my child.

Hm. In some social circles, such tests are free and standard for every child.
Maybe that's my lower-class ignorance kicking in.

Proles like myself have to make due with what we got, I might not know my iq but I can pick a set of cuffs in 10 sec's or less.

I had three test's, one from mensa, one worth a lot of money, paid for by the government as part of my dyslexic testing, and another one made by some psychologist from american I think. Average was over 160 across the board, however.. like I said.. I don't buy into them.
