I think... 450pxls by 500pxls should be the max. Thats just a little bigger than the box you type in to make a post or just a little bigger than my signature takes up atm. Enough for 3 standard sized signatures... and maybe 1.5 of these stupidly big ones..

think there should be cause you got the some with either long sigs where you have to scroll over or the multiable sigs where you scroll a full page!

Having more then 4-5 signatures, ACTUAL signatures..not bars like my Canadian one below should be limited.

Ex: Nimras.

Something around those figures would be good, no bigger or more than them.

Yes there should be a limit, people having a screen full of banners like Nimras is just stupid!

one sig with the size 500px × 250px should be more then enough

A set space is good, that way you can fill it with whatever you want and everyone has the same amount of space.

I disagree with one sig.
People like to have a player sig or alliance sig and have their award sig too.
2 or 3 sigs is fine as long as you don't become stupid with them like the person I mentioned earlier.

Nimras is the king of signatures!

And I'm glad my net is fast, otherwise it would surely be a pain eveytime I cross around his sigs!

And that's why I use spoilers when my signature is too large

Didn't there used to be a rule stating it could only be a specific size?

Anyway, yes, its needed again. When you have to scroll down for more than a page over a person's sigs....well, its just a little silly

Thats why i turn off sigs on the forum due to "over" usage.

Well, yes it can.. it means work on the mods part, but it can, same as the old signature limitations were made on SIZE of FILE, as in MB, not physical size of pixels.

If that won't be done then... you need a system.

3 signatures of standard size or smaller. Max parameters 150x480pixels, or as close to within reason.(+/-10%). IE, the EPA 300 themed sig would be WAY over)
This can be called the 4 S's (Standard Size Sig Slot).
As the basic thing.

Then for the other things have...
1 Large sig = 1.5 of a sig.
1 smiley of reasonable size = 0.5 of a sig.
1 User bar = 0.5 of a sig.
Text = 0.25 of a sig PER LINE (1+ words on a line make that line count).
spoilers = 0.5 of a sig.

Still does not change the fact that phpbb does not allow a predetermined space for sigs (like with avys).

It means a lot of work for the admins as they are the only ones that can alter user's sigs.

I personally do not care if there are too many too long/big sigs. If the sigs are so disturbing, then you have the options to turn them off so they do not show.
