You sending them 20% of your income, which means your recieving an UP boost equal to 1/2 that number (10% in this case) of your officers UP

the up bonus is the percentage of units per turn that you get extra from you officers. The size of the bonus depends on your officers up

Okay...
Lets say you give your officers 30% of your income, the max setting and best seting in many opinions...
You then add up the total UP of your officers, and multiply by .15 then you add that number to your UP and viola, you have your total UP. Infact, to the right of your Raw Up there will be a UP in parenthisis, that is your total UP.
I.e. Unit Production 6,041 /day (9,199 total)
So in reality you don't even have to do the math, you can see your total UP to the right of your Raw UP.

SelfEdit: I might add that the UP bonus wont be much, to even get 150 bonus UP youd need an officer with 1,000UP.... SO if you've only a single officer with zip in the way of UP, you may only be getting 1 or 2 extra for a while.

I enjoy "The Deity's Guide to Just about everything really :)". It's like The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, but better. It located as a sticky above these messages(in the Newbie/FAQ forum), and has answers to common questions.

I've been mulling over the idea of about converting it to .pdf, and keeping my own little copy
