I dunno if anyone can help me here.. there is something that i dont understand.. hope i dont look like n00b.

Example:

My covert action: 1tril
Enemy covert action: 700b

I spy them, and alll i get is ???

How does that work, surely having a greater covert action you should be able to see at least some of there stats.. but repeadtly nothing?

Anyway hope someone can clear this up for me!

I think Covert Level is a multiplier somewhere in there... so that could have an affect, maybe their spy level is 33 and yours is 29 (just an example) so you just have a lot trained to get a greater action, but not enough since their spy level is bigger. Just guessing kinda...

i had level 32 and they had 31! i thought it was that originally!

def con levels on your enemy may have an effect....

if they are on crit or nox not sure if its one or the other or both it gives them a boost, if u read when u turn it on it says it

Realm Alert Drains Naquadah, Increases Covert Defense, increases insurance effects;
Increases Covert Defense

If they have full nox/crit on then they have about 1.2T covert

Crit adds 10/20/40/70% to the effective covert depending on the level set. So it kicks in when you try to spy them or sab them but is not reflected in the number you get when spying them.

you have to beat the covert action * crit bonus.

700b * 1.7 = 1.19T Effective as stated above.

Anytime your getting all ????'s you will need to add more spies (or a covert level if you can ) in order to get results.

The higher your covert the more you will see, but it often takes several attempts to get all the info.

Question on the topic

If you say enemy has Covert Action: 33,401,048 and you have over tril covert why would you still be seeing ??? in stats?

Just happens sometimes, I remember seeing ??? on people when they have no covert trained. Think some of the stats have an basic percentage chance of being ???. But to my knowledge in the logs planets will always have an higher chance of being ??? pretty annoying
