I would infer rudeness and incivility between players. Yes, I play a "character" when I'm playing and PMing others. Sometimes that "character" comes forth on the forums. Still, it does not necessitate rudeness to players.

If that's the case, I concur.

It's great when you have enemies where there's no extra baggage. I remember how Mango and Sov, to use as examples, used to make these great posts against us..loved their forum..they were great enemies and good friends. The forums have become more viscious, mostly I think due to alot of assumptions made by various people on various sides. People take on their leaders views on people without making up their own minds and so on. Personally, I think people should talk to others before making up their own minds. A game should remain a game.

It's true.. the herd mentality destroys the friendship-ness that used to be relatively prevalent in the game.

I don't know about that. I think the server war is bringing out the worst in people. I'd say the bad blood was solved 6 months ago. Since then, the bad blood has returned and festered into an actual hatred. There's no way around it. When you tell yourself over and over for so long that this guy is your enemy, it will ingrain itself so far into your brain that it will leak into RL. You hop on the computer and your first thought is how to screw these people over as much as possible. Over the long haul, these unhealthy thoughts do develop into real life emotions. I'm not surprised this has happened.

hmmm you are correct on almost every aspect ... some people sya the same stuff over and over again like if they will die if there not right but anyways like most of my alliance I too have set everyone to foe so I dont have to read there forum banter ... u I overlooked and I like your post I thinks ill keep u off the foe list

Thanks REK. With the exception of giving ETL a hard time, I've made it a point to stay away from the war threads this entire war. Simply because I knew I would eventually allow the emotions to become RL feelings. This has allowed me to remain friends with many on the FUALL side.

Giving me a hard time? As I mentioned in some post somewhere else I don't even know who you are. The opinions of strangers are not even moderately high on my list of things to ponder. After all, it was you who chose to intefere and insult me in whatever fashion you thought would get my attention. You do realise that if you actually bother to post something about another person and then claim they are irrelevent and such, it just makes one laugh. True irrelevence is where no one's heard of you, no one's bothered to even know who you are and I could go on. That last bit was a bit of a generalisation, but you appear to be a smart guy, so you get my point!

I agree but its the forum thats UGly and unpleasant not the game so much. I find it amusing when people quit the game because of the forum BS when all they really have to do is quit the forum and enjoy the game in Oblivion.
