What was/is/will [hopefully] be your first car?
Just curious there. No lieing please with crazy dream cars and stuff like that...let's be realistic for once!
I start:
90's Mercedes C-Class (probably a C 200 for its costs) will be hopefully my first car, whenever I decide to get one.

Don't have one yet, but this one would be *perfect* to start!

Also, a 1995 Volkswagen Golf III could be a good start.

well im thinking of a small-ish rear wheel drive sedan. most rear wheel drives around here are big Holden Commodores or Ford Falcons..... both of which...... meh. big, gas guzzlers etc.
so ive been looking into european stuffs..... found a nice little Audi A4 second hand for about 7000 dollars. shame im not employed or have the money...... lol
maintenance will be a big cost tho, but i dont think it'll be too much of a concern.... after i get a job, at the going rates i should have plenty enough for it.

Don't get your hopes up thinking you will have plenty of money

Once you get a car, all your money disapears

In a way, thier like MS when they first came out in the game
I have this:

And I just got slapped with a $700 registration bill >.< And another $700 comming up for insurance (and thats in my dads name with rating 1 for life, would be more like $1500 if it was in mine) And I few months ago i spent $650 on tyres. (the absolute cheapest ones at that size)
I got this car for free (off my dad cause I couldnt get a job without a car cause of where I live and he wanted somethign even bigger

) and it has cost me a good $12,000 in the last year.
But i love it

only way i would sell it is if it was costing me more money than i was making. and then i would get one of these :

2000 Honda Integra type R.

heh im not worried.... im heading into a career pathway which should be pretty secure and have a good pay. but meh, im thinking more along the lines of getting the car 2nd hand (obviously) and keeping it off the road till ive recouped the money spent on it, and mainly keeping rego and insurance to a minimum (compulsory 3rd party etc.....) i can do a basic service on it myself so theres that cost saved, and assuming i dont drive like crazy ill save a good amount on fuel, cause im only looking at a 1.8 litre auto. (compared to my old commodore, was family car not mine... which was only a 3.8 litre but still was a pain for fuel and rego considering its size.)

O_O Smart roadster? All we see in the States are the Standard Smart car... i think the first time i saw one was on a trip to europe when i was younger... I can help but laugh when i pull up next to a smart car... i just roll down the window and ask the guy driving(same guy, only one crazy enough to buy one here) how it feels to be driving an enclosed golfcart... The idea is good... just not so much for the US... too much distance to get places and all.

My first car and still my car is a 2004 Chevy Cavalier. Only drive it once or twice a week so after 5 years, it only has 25k miles on it. Hope to keep it for a long time. Oh and yeah apparently if you want one, you can just call that number

1. you've earned/won the money needed for this then congrats
2. if your parents are paying for this then this is not your car.
