what is the minimum internet speed recurred to play online?

atm it's very slow but I'm thinking of buying a new one, and I'm wondering what's the minimum as I'm also planning to buy an 360, and i want to be able to play online,

You can play with any speed... 56k dial up even. Not saying it won't be like extremely jagged movement and such. I would say you probably need Cable/High Speed or something, at least speed in the megabytes... Ya as far as I know no required speed, but it'd suck with a slow connection.

1MB should be more than enough if you only connect the 360.

@Empedocles: You cant play the 360 on dial up. It requires an ethernet connection which only comes with broadband minimum. so MINUMUM you need, a connection that uses ethernet (or USB you can configure that and what not but usually they have both options)

Anyway, i haaaaaaave 1.5mb speed (max it doesnt always run at that) and I live 8km down a dead end road in an area known for having crappy net, and it runs fine for me.

aye..it does do.. because we have a very old business special line I can only get 1mb max (despite the fact our package is 16mb's and unlimited download *cries* more money than sense sometimes..), and sexbox live normally runs fine for me, even if I am downloading at the same time.
