"Bolivia crushes Argentina 6-1 in qualifying"
I know it's just a qualification match, AND in La Paz (Bolivia capital), highest capital in the world, but it's stil crazy to see Messi and co losing with such a gap!

Argentina was already qualified? Otherwise, losing a qualification match is just as bad as losing the finals..
Well, close anyway.
Args were probably out of breath, or too busy looking in the mirror.

Fifa SA rankings...Bolivia in bottom and Argentina at a good place (2nd). Argentina will likely be qualified. Brazil not in good position, however they pick about 5 teams from SA if not mistaken.
So yes, probably both out of breath and suffering from egos!
Code: Select all
Team MP W D L GF GA Pts
[Paraguay] Paraguay 11 7 2 2 18 8 23
[Argentina] Argentina 12 5 4 3 18 13 19
[Chile] Chile 11 6 1 4 17 14 19
[Brazil] Brazil 11 4 6 1 16 5 18
[Uruguay] Uruguay 11 4 4 3 21 10 16
[Colombia] Colombia 12 3 5 4 6 10 14
[Ecuador] Ecuador 11 3 4 4 13 18 13
[Venezuela] Venezuela 12 4 1 7 14 22 13
[Bolivia] Bolivia 12 3 3 6 19 25 12
[Peru] Peru 11 1 4 6 6 23 7
TV is nice here, had France 1-0 Lituania, then a "mix" of England 2-1 Ukrain & Turkey 1-2 Spain, and now Bolivia 6-1 Argentina (currently at 3-1 as it's late broadcasting).
Bolivia had most victories at home, not outside, hence low rank.

Poland - San Marino 10-0
Netherlands - Makedonija 4-0
Russia - Liechtenstein 1-0
Albania - Denmark 0-3
Dutch coaches in bold.
Amusing how the carriages managed to tractor themselves to the front of the face without losing cohesion, whilst gaining more and plenty of dread grins.

Netherlands and Russia will go thru, Poland depends on upcoming results, Albania unlikely.
However, quite surprised at Sweden, Portugal, South Africa (gone), and Czech Republic ranks in their groups...would have expected better from them.

True, but still bit annoying to be gone in round 2 (not even round 3 the current) when you organize it.
http://www.fifa.com/worldcup/preliminar ... ound2.htmlHope they'll do better in world cup than in qualifying.

Czech Republic will never be the same team again, The likes of berger, Nedved etc, are either very old now, or retired, with the younger players, who have taken there places, or are going to take up places, are simply not as good as these gifted, one off players. And no, rosicky doesnt count, he is always injured.

Agreed. Although not participating in EC might have given them a lesson in humility?
France is a joke as well btw. It'll be a LONG time before they get anywhere again.
Italy? Arrogant pricks. Figures they're too busy with their mirrors and tight shirts to actually do what they're paid to do.
