Vacation mode

my apologies if this is in the wrong place.

it has come to my attention that in my position it is near impossible for me to go on vacation mode,
even in an emergency.

the 24 hour limit on attacks i think is reasonable but the PPT thing i dont beleive is worth it at all. and considering that PPT is to be limited in proximity to the Vac period, then why is the following still mentioned?

"2 Earth Days Minimum - time will stop in your realm. No unit or other generation, no attacks on you, NOTHING... time stops for you.
PPT is universal time...it does pass while you are away.
Be aware, others will certainly pass you by..."

being on the computer 24 hours a day, just to get to a point where i can leave the game temporarily, i beleive is rediculous. there are those of us who may genuinely need to put their account on vac because they cant be on after 24 hours of non PPT.

thanks

Its a valid point, but its also a price you will have to pay due to people who exploit the system.

Remember the out cry from the old system?

Player A masses an alliance/person, goes on PPT
next day they come off and remass alliance/person goes on PPT
Next day they go straight from PPT to vacation mode.

This means you never get a chance to strike back. The few legitamate claims will fall to the way side to stop the massive abuse of the system.

yeah fair enough.

i wasnt around when the old system was in place, i joined the game in early 06 then after about 6 months i had to go inactive so i never paid much attention to ingame affairs till i became active again about 18 months later.

maybe there should be a condition added to vac to not allow attacking for 7 full days? i dont know, and as indicated before i'd have no clue of this has already been discussed. lol

ah well. if anything could be done i'd appreciate it, if not, its not too important for now...

possibly be able to gave a emergency vac mode button. as you can buy it from the market, or something as that sort. kinda how you have name change once its gone, its gone. Yea could be buggy but lets say that you must remain for one full week that way you less chances of abuse out of it like. like a full week freeze+

Just an ideal

Or one you can use like once a month....

Valid suggestion to change it, but still won't work. you can PPT 4 times in a row if you do it right. Therefor allowing someone to mass and alliance 4 times, then go on Vac. They wait till middle of next month, come off, and mass 4 times again, again, Vac.
it's fair enough what your saying, especially if you have to go to hospital for like 2 weeks, and were recently on PPT (for example) but as Lore said, easily exploitable.

well there is the 24 hr period between PPT/Last attack before you can vacate.

huh, thanks Lore, didn't realize that update (haven't used PPT in a few months)
Guess what i said isn't doable, though Lore's is. Just make your once a month mass over 2-3 alliances instead of just one.

Though, the suggestion of not being able to attack for 7 days(or some period of time, 48 hours maybe) when you return from an emergency one is interesting, though you'd have to say no PPT also.

in emergencies, you can ask the support team to set you on vacation mode... they are able to do it... it may take a bit of time for them to do it, and we believe they will need a good reason, but they are able to do it...

E-mail to urgent@stargatewars.com

Though being able to reduce load on the staff would be preferable

yh an emergency vac would be beneficial...

maybe make clause it has to be minimum of 7days.. not 2 like normal vac.

for example last year when my mum got sick, I was playing game online at the time.. and she thought she was having a heart attack or a few days ago when I busted my wrist and couldn't ppt and had to wait the 24hrs to vac account.

I also remember Angnoch having to leave game in a hurry, and he couldn't vac.. his account sat being farmed for months.
