I didn't see all the StarGate SG-1 Series . I don't mean I've missed a Episode here and there, I mean I only seen the first 3 or 4 Seasons, my TV only aired episodes up to season 3 (Maybe forth season). And they've stop putting on the series on TV, even when they did they were all reruns.

I am planning on getting the StarGate SG-1 series on DVD (got the first to 2 seasons as a Christmas present ), and I am well aware theres 10 Seasons, but I am just wondering how many StarGate movies that is based on the series.

I know that the movie "Stargate" is the movie that started the Series StarGate SG-1, the movies I am wondering is Stargate: The Ark of Truth, and Stargate: Continuum, are these the Series Finale of SG-1? If they are the Series Finale which one I should watch first after I see the 10th Season?

ok the ark movie sums up a race called the Ori in the 10th series and continues the epic adventure with SG.1 for about 2 hours in the finaly.

Continueum-bal goes back in time to stop SG.1 from even starting the Stargate programme.

They also have 5 Seasons of Stargate Atlantis, and are making a Stargate Atlantis movie, and a 4th(counting original) SG-1 movie centered around Jack O' Neill.

Yoh cant wait for the Atlantis movie considering what happend at the end of season 5.[spoiler]ATLANTIS WENT TO EARTH[/spoiler]

basically watch all of sg-1 first, then watch ark of truth.

this will close off and finish all the storylines, Continuum can be watched at any point as a stand alone movie after you have seen at least the start of season 9

Ok thanks I'll keep that in mind, thats the first thing I was going to get any way is the Seasons on DVD, I've heard that they've made a movie as a finale for the series, I've realized there were two movies when I googled it. It was kinda confusing considering StarGate Atlantis was also in the Search Results when I searched StarGate SG-1.

Can't wait to catch up

tbh all of the stargate movies apart from the origanal are utter garbage oh and season 10 of sg1 is also garbage so even if u dont get em u wilnt miss much there really not worth buying..

I have the 10 season box set of SG-1 + movies and I thought it was all GREAT

It just dawned on me, since I could loan movies in the library why not search Stargate SG-1. I don't know why I don't think of these things early lol. Sad to say they only have novels and the second season of StarGate Atlantis. I've seen a episode or two of atlantis and think it was really dorky, and I am not much of an reader. So I'm going to ask the library to add the 10 seasons of SG-1, Stargate: The Ark of Truth, and Stargate: Continuum. Hopefully they'll add it into the library system .

I loved ALL of Stargate including Atlantis.
@Stargateman. I think you will be cheating yourself if you don't watch all of them. There are a couple of episodes that tie up loose ends on both series. It gives you a "greater" perspective to see the whole picture, in my opinion. Whatever you decide, enjoy.

@Stargateman. I think you will be cheating yourself if you don't watch all of them. There are a couple of episodes that tie up loose ends on both series. It gives you a "greater" perspective to see the whole picture, in my opinion. Whatever you decide, enjoy.

Although I think Atlantis is really dorky, I've heard some of the actors in SG-1 were in Atlantis, not sure if it ties up any loose ends in the SG-1 series but I've heard that they were in Atlantis to. I was still going to get Atlantis as well as the SG-1 series, just to make a collection of StarGate stuff.

on come now the finale of sg1 season 10 was a complete and utter stinker... the whole of season 10 was just rushed and it showed..


i like Atlantis give it a chance ul probably like it..

Everyone has their own opinions, thats why life is so interesting. Although naughty nob thinks that the movies and season 10 sucks it may ties in some loss ends. I know I hadn't seen all of the series yet, but thats whats the use of the end of a movie or series, so it could tie in some unsolved questions or problems no matter how good or bad it is .

Besides the fact, I'm still going to see all of SG-1 and Atlantis, so I know what has happened. The only reason why I'm going to watch Atlantis is that it'll tie up some ends to my favorite series StarGate SG-1 .

Only interesting stuff in last two seasons was rise of Jaffa nation and Baal's appearances & actions...oh and perhaps Goa'ulds infiltrations on Earth. Yeah. Everything NOT Ori related.

My opinion: end sg1 after Moebius. Make first movieabout Jaffa nation issues and end of System Lords empires, also little part linked with Atlantis and Wraith, second same as current one about Baal.

It's not far that they cut off SG-1 off my channel . I have to wait for purchase consideration thing from the Library to go through, for the The Complete Stargate SG-1 Series Collection (10 seasons), Stargate: The Ark of Truth, and Stargate: Continuum, They e-mailed me back to say that to me, so hopefully I can get a hold on it , please but it into the Library System it'll be like Christmas in the middle of Spring .
