my financial situation is not something i care to think or talk about

so i don't say this lightly, i would rather fail and remain honourable than use deceit, fraud and treachery and be successful...
what about you guys, success and dishonesty or failure and honesty???

I'd do anything to enable my current lifestyle be maintained or improved.
I find that does not require 'immoral' actions, and allows me to keep an appropriate reputation among my peers in my social class.
It's satisfactory.

i didn't ask, nor is this a debate about how you appear in your peers eyes, i asked what you would or wouldn't do and how far you would be willing to go.

You. Go back to school, right this instant.
I have given an appropriate answer. If you think it isn't, tough luck.

The underlined is my answer to your question.
The rest is completely irrelevant if you're suddenly a purist. Have to say though that it's pretty bad form, Avenger, that
you, of all people, respond like such a .. (sorry, I don't have words that properly describe your revolting hypocrisy).

there is absolutely nothing immoral or incorrect about taking advantage of a situation especially one that can benefit you and since honor is not something that other people say you have as long as you stick to your own ethics and moral code are you not honorable?

I can and probably will do whatever it takes to accumulate more wealth. I mean short of murder I suppose.

I already lie, steal and destroy to get what I want...
Well, I lie and steal, destroying is but only a consequence, not a cause of me getting what I want.
Anyway, I have no problem with murdering should the reward be worth it and I have, on occasion, blackmailed people.

Honour is not something that can be bestowed upon you
It is simply something you can have & by having it you can extend it to others in friendship.

I am quite possibly the closest person to Palpatine you would find in real life. These concepts you all cling too are tools to control you.

Palpatine...lmao...you want to be a/or are, a shrivelled up old man with disillusions of galactic megalomania?
seriously, with regards to the underlined; that's because the system that's been put in place for the masses has been specifically designed so that the masses will indeed climb on and step on the backs of others in search of the next BUCK....
buts an argument best left for another thread.

No, I agree....well I wouldn't say specifically designed, more just the product of human nature. However.. yes galactic megalomania ftw!
If you know enough about how humans work, if you study them (not psychology, I means humans themselves) and have a good memory, it is by no means a difficult task to manipulate a person, no matter their will power or intelligence. Everyone has a weakness.

I spose you'd never ambush or trap anyone. If you were to go to war, you would not hide behind some shelt while the enemy is firing at you, but stand out in the open like a proud warrior willing to die for his nation. Amirite?

I personally would never lie, cheat or steal to get my way to the top. If it is offered freely at the cost of the person offering it, that is their decision. I will more than likely take advantage of it.
