(Since you lot are talking waay too much about it in the other thread, about the worst movie ever.. here's an actual thread of your own. Clutter this, instead of that.)
I liked it.
Never watched DBZ anime, that might have something to do with it.
Anyway, it had entertainment value, although the plot was predictable even for a complete noob like myself. And airbending? What's with the Avatar-theft. Not to mention the whole deal reeked of standard "boy is special, people die, boy lives, boy trains, boy fights bad guy, boy is victorious and cool and awesome and worshipped or gets the girl"-story. Ah well.. that is what I expected, and it is what I got, so I was entertained.
Keep up the flak. Maybe the next one will be better.

As a side-note, I deeply dislike anime for various reasons, and greatly appreciate actual people acting in movies/series and stuff. Guess the movie is more my style.

Only anime I really liked was the one with the duck (not disney) and Avatar. Other animes just annoy me immensely. Sometimes I watch pokemon if I don't have anything better to do and it happens to be on at the time, but .. I don't like the fact that really, almost nothing happens in one episode. And that you need to watch a lot of episodes consequentially for the story to get to you.

I unlike most walked in expecting it to not be as good as the cartoon...they cant copy everything from the cartoons...although i do hope the second one will rock my socks off.

DB: GT is not all that bad.
Ending is a huge arse battle scene that goes on for awhile.
Goku obtains Super Saiyan 6 or something. He's like a red monkey with a tail.

I'll give ya that, it DBZ was very drawn out

Aye the Freiza saga took over 7 1/2 hours to complete the one fight. 21 or so episodes for that one single fight between him and Goku.. that's like a season of normal shows.. lol. Yeah I think they could justify 4 or 5 episodes.. but that's just ridiculous.. especially considering for two of the episodes he and Goku just stand there chatting whilst Goku calls the spirit bomb that just cuts the end off his tail..
These magna's always run away with themselves though. Two seasons later and they were fighting a pink blob that could destroy planets for the hell of it... I say to you... what morons could possibly be drawn in THAT far? It's the problem I have with all this non canon star wars stuff too.. Luke moving black holes, and star destroying missiles, or living machines and thousands of clones with so many odd people coming back from the dead.. I mean really... to quote Ben Linus.. Dead is dead... you don't get to come back from that. SG=1 took a similar path.. people started getting super power..
SGW is like the best metaphor of what's happened to all these better things really..
