Well with the rank modifier pretty much gone one someone (********, outranked me by over 60 places at the time of >10 attacks, >20 sabs/incites) much higher ranked than me has decided to make it a personal mission to completely demolish me and easily succeeded. With the fragments of my realm that remain I haven't a hope of fending off another player who was farming me or even rebuilding within the week, and since probability is ******** will attack again tonight I have no real hope of rebuilding, so I'm taking the only option left and going on vacation mode until I can reascend my main account.
Anyway enjoy the ascended server.

Thanks, hopefully it'll allow me to rebuild properly and improve my rate of generating the various resources so if another such attack does occur it won't be quite so devastating.

I actually know how you fell there...i WAS ranked 135 and I was destroyed by someone in the top 10, it has taken me about 3 days to recover about half of what I have lost, but you got to look at it positively, learn from it and move on.

Well don't be a wimp about it. Ascension is built so that you have a lot of ways to strike back. Focus on one and give it to them. No need to go on vacation and waste all that time. Kick his butt.

Assuming I didn't get attacked at all it would take me over 3 days to rebuild to being about where I was, since my defences are pretty much gone and I was already contending with someone who was farming me there's no hope in going one day without attack, let alone > 3. With the zealousness of the attacks and covert ops of the person who did this to me I can only assume they will do so again tonight, as such my best recourse is to sit in vacation mode until such a point where I can rebuild my defences in 1-2 days instead, and so hope that they're not just sitting and waiting for my return in order to demolish my realm again.
He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day, if I hang about hoping to somehow strike back at best I'd dent their realm and finish off my own so they could instead descend me.

Let me put it to you like this my defences were > 300 networked planets, now they're down to <60.
Rebuilding that would require ~ 1250 planets and 22mil dark matter, i.e. a long time for anyone not in a comfortable position.
Better to duck out until I can reascend and improve my LP generation so that I can use that for the 22mil and cannabilise my guided planets for the networked guardians, either that or just sit and wait for someone to decend me. Which do you think is worse in the long run?
At least this way it's just a matter of patience. Anyway have fun.

I've been massed about 4 times now, these things happen, I've lost over 5k planets due to raids and sabs etc etc over the course of Ascension, you just have to deal with it and move on

Should hopefully be able to reascend within a month so I've began to play ascention again, done some major shuffling of my resources, guess we'll see how it goes.

P.S. Apologies to anyone I've attacked to try speed up my rebuilding, I've tried to keep it to those who're well established (>2000 planets) and I've also limited the damage done to ~1-3 turns worth of repairs (no real massing, think the most I made against and individual was 3 attacks of 15 turns, 2 raid + one normal attack) so it shouldn't be too disasterous for you. Once again sorry (really don't like having attacked people I significantly outrank in ascended).
