They used to allow raiding many era's back, but it was removed because (and I might be wrong) it offered to much of an advantage to the top players.

I didnt like it then and still wont like it if its ever returned to Q on main its fine but here

At start of wave, someone would have 5-6 friends raid inactives, then have someone raid all 5-6 of them, then the person would raid the guy that raided the 5-6 friends = BIG advantage at start.

well.. it was eventually taken out in the exponential growth wave.. because any advantage st start was multiplied exponentially though the wave. Unfortunately.. it was taken out after it had been used excessively by zaphor.. who then went on to absolutely dominate that wave
