well i'd say nice, but im assuming you're not using it as a primary drive?
(ie, you arent installing windows/linux/whatever on it? hopefully you've got another much smaller drive for the operating system?)

reason is for those who dont know, smaller drives tend to boot quicker off of..... i mean a 500gb drive @ 7200rpm will boot slower than a 160gb drive @ 7200rpm.....
Actually, that's only on FAT32 drives, with NTFS drives it's the reverse. Though I could be wrong, I don't think I am.

drive formatting doesnt have an impact. yes, NTFS would be faster in areas than FAT32, but smaller capacitys still perform better for boot, read times etc....

I download ALOT of HD movies ( Don't ask from where :) ) both in 720p & 1080p and stream them over my network to my ps3 which works its magic and i get a 1080p high Dev movie on my 42" tv :)

As an example BlackHawk Down in 1080p - 12.8Gb & thats just 1 movie!

My poor internal 300Gb WD HDD i have & my 320Gb WD Passport are all but full :(

So plan is:

300Gb WD for gaming & windows (What i really should be using)
1TB WD for dumping HD vids, music and anything else i want to stream to my ps3 :)

sehr gut. i do agree that the 150gb you linked to would be more ideal for windows and such, ive got myself a 160gb for that purpose.... but good, youre not using a 1T disk for a main drive *thumbs up*
