If someone was mentally unstable and they had multiple accounts for each personality. Would it violate the rules. Since technically they would all be different people for them to play the game?

does making an episode guide on wikipedia for BSG credit for "reputable"?
Obviously I have a doctor's decree in psychology and mental defects

Multiple personalities or multiple personas is mute, they all belong to the same physical body and therefore violates the rules.

That seems cruel though Lore, since its is a illness it would be like discriminating them.

Yeah, but would they even be able to recognize that they are the same person, would they each even know the passwords for each account?

What Lore said, but on the other hand MPD normally occurs when someone has had something really traumatic happen to them in childhood as a defense mechanism, would Admin be so cruel to ban a person who has had something so tramatic happen in there life that there mind makes 1 or more alta's to distance themselves away from said trauma.

If they can control their "personalities" enough to switch between them enought to play this game then they are not sick. It would require all the inactive "personalities" to be just that, inactive until that "personality" was prevalent. Multiple personalities dont shift back and forth fast/often enough to actively play more then one account, and if they are changing that fast, then they are not concerned with this game. Anyone who has dealt with this sickness or has a family member who has knows the personalities are not all similiar with similiar wants/likes.

Should we restore someones account everytime his other "personality" deletes it or mass some alliance or gets it killed in some way?

If that really happened whats the chances that "both" peronalities will find/like/enjoy/ and want to play the same game and NOT know the other personality is doing the same? you dont see familiarity with Multiple personalities much.

each personality would maintain its own account, and not access the others, typiclly they act and think like entirely seperate people

and aside from IP, you'd not be able to tell its the same body

you speak as if you know it as fact?

as for the IP thingy anyone can do that now so I fail to see the point.

But there's such a diversity of different people on here that play and enjoy the game, and who's to say that its just the 1 alta that they have. Bit of a stretch i know, in theory it could happen, in reality its highly doubtful.

No matter how much someone suffers from MPD, they are still considered one person for the law.
To illustrate, you cannot sue yourself. Whether you have MPD or not is entirely irrelevant.

Besides, what possible reason could someone have to play against themselves in an online game. Why not just go and have a boxing match with yourself.

There has NEVER been a fully documented case of "multiple personality" so I would say stick to just 1 account...

Be like saying a murderer should go free because 1 of his 10 "personalities" killed someone, but the other 9 are all law abiding citizens and its unlawful to incarcerate them.

from the odd case every now and then you read about, that seems to be how it is

Then you assume entirely too much, because there are documented "cases" that show the exact opposite, even personalities "picking" on other personalities.
