is a bug is cheating because i tried to name 2 planets same but seems i am not allowed to do that
For the sanity of your citizens, you cannot have more than one planet with the same name.
if the place of topic is not here i am srry but i think is a general concern because i see manny planets with the same name

the only way u can have the same name on planets is if they were named before it was made that u couldnt name them the same they just stayed. so i believe.

I have been able to use the same name on a planet, if the name has two or more words. Place more than one space between each word, and it can be done.

For example:

Eye of Terror
Eye of Terror

or it is a bug because admin didn't stop it anyway of ability to have planets with same name

because admin decide u can't have 2 planets with the same name or i miss understand the meaning of the words when i tried to name 2 planets same

It's not a cheat or a bug as far as I know, but I will move this to Bugs / For Admin section. That might get your question answered by higher authorities.

Originally planets could be named the same and have "characters" such as #$&#$?> and all that. It created issues and the rule was inacted to not allow the use of characters, nor the naming of planets to be identical.

NOW, any planet with the characters or the same name that were there before the rule was impemented are completely legal as admin was not going to take the time to rename each planet manually. The script will no longer allow you to do so with new planets or renaming planets.

Using spaces to give the appearance of identical names IS legal because a space is a character and does make the name different even tho it is hard to distiguish.

It is also possible to have someone name a planet identical to your planet name and then steal it.

So AFAIK there is no bug, cheat, or illegal activity UNLESS they have actually found a way to rename planets to truely "identical" names.

It is still a possibility of being a bug and Admin does need to check it, but I explained more then one legal possibility to explain it.

I don't understand that resriction either, the character one I do understand as it broke some code and created ingame bugs such as people not being able to be spied on or sabbed.

That statement is incorrect tho

It should be

You can not name two of your own planets the same.

you cannot have more than one planet with the same name.

is an incorrect statement as there is more then 1 legitamate way to do so.

I do see your confusion as the sentence makes no sense and is untrue.
