No where else for this, so here it is.

MGM are useless... Why would you force a game, whom very existence is probably supporting one of your franchises, to change all their names, so they DON'T resemble the series. Admin said don't, but if it wasn't for that, i'd be spamming their in-box with every e-mail account i could get my hands on telling them how stupid they are. I may even stop my plans to buy all Stargate seasons to support upcoming movies.

I wish the rich jackasses at the top would stop and think for a few seconds before jumping the gun and calling "money loss" at every shadow they see.

I wouldn't think it was money loss.. I mean, you see this game, play it, love it, and wonder what it's based off, and go buy/watch the show.

More likely then watch the show, find the game, and NEVER watch the show again...

Exactly, you would think they'd have common sense enough to realize they're infact gaining from this site..

While I am opposed to enforcing rules just because they can.. they are entirely within their rights to do so.
Hardly useless.. morally bankrupt and plain evil, perhaps.. but not useless.

maybe with the imminant relaunch of stargateworlds they are making sure they have the only game related to sg

Well since I enjoy playing devils advocate, and I never watched the shows, let me make a few points for the other side, but also maintain I don't necissarily agree with them just wanted to bring them forward.

1. They plan a game based on SGW and the close name may bring players meant for there to here.

2. Jason makes $$ off their show from this game, they make NO $ off this game.

3. If they do not vigorously defend what is theirs by right and law then they stand to potentially loose millions of dollars. Think about it. They spend mega buck make alot of sci fi films and series. If everyone that became a success wasnt defended then every guy with a server would be making big bucks off their work and ideas.

4. They are greedy

I had more but i forgot them typing this up.

I personally dont see the point since this game has been up and running what 4/5 yrs now?

Companys dont go into buisiness to loose money, they do it to MAKE money, Though its a bit of a crap on us, By MGM, really, they are doing whats best for there company, They have a HUGE budget stargate game comeing out soon, Online based, and they will want every "Stargate online game search" to point to them.

Its not ideal but big buisinesses wanna make money, thats what they do, Just like jason used the stargate franchise to make himself money. Swings and roundabouts, in the end, its all politics.

Yeah, forgot they were planning on launching that. Pitty we can't pay royalties or something to maintain the names

I do think MLM did made a mistake, for the reason that SGW actually supports their series, geez, thats why I've joined GateWars cause it was based on StarGate, in a way it is still based on Stargate for those that were playing the game before this happened. I still slipped up the name StarGateWars.
