Steve Irwin Reserve

Hey guys, while it's not SGW related This subject is somewhat dear to my heart and not far from my home and I think will get most exposure here
The Steve Irwin wildlife reserve is under threat from Bauxite strip mining. the poor bloke cant defend it the way we all know he would. we need to sign the petition and show our support. the reserve has species and a water system that's found nowhere else on earth. I've been there and it is truly a religious experience.
The worst part is that the Irwin family technically own the land, yet still have to defend it as they don't own the mining rights.

Seeing as big corperations are being a bit heavy handed with our beloved "Gatewars" I think we should leave this here for a week or so, To get some awesome exposure, Down with the man, And all that. Conservation is something we can help with, And if all it takes is a name on a form to stop entire eco systems and species being wiped out, then i'm all for it.
Yeah, Call it abuse of my admin powers, but i technically made it stargatewars general related by dropping in our recent MGM Gatewars legal battle, So there, we'l leave it here for now.

I actually hate the guy, but i liked what he fought for and defended even if i didn't agree with lots of the things he did (as i am in the industry as well).

Cheers, sometimes I didn't really like the way he did things, but the legacy he left behind will last for a long time I hope
