He was the King of pop. He revolutionized music, and created dance moves that are still used today, even in light of all his legal issues. :(

It's a damn shame. He was just coming back to music, and it was reported that he had another hit move... another moonwalk if you will.

:(

I already posted a topic in this&that, was wondering about posting it here.
Well, a singer of his importance deserves two threads.

RIP Michael Jackson, will be remembered for his never equalled music and video clips!

I heard about this at work and can't believe it. And after reading it myself on the internet I still can't believe it. He was truly the King of Pop. If only he hadn't got involved in scandals over the years he still could of been making good music. He would of taught these new kids how to make REAL music. We lost a another great musician who can never be replaced and will be missed by all.

I think when you are famous problems find you, whether you look for them or not. There is a problem with the culture we have today. It's almost like we idolize famous people and enjoy seeing them be human.

What saddens me the most is that in his final years he was met with little more than turmoil, unrest, and everyone trying to get a piece of him. Why is it that we find it easy to remember good things and miss people when their gone?

At any rate, since this is the music section what better way to remember the artist than to remember his music and the effect it had/has on us.

Jackson 5 - ABC

A 'love song' if it can be called that. Always seems to make me things of the summer time in the Bronx or something.. I don't know why that is.

Scream - MJ & JJ

Probably my favourite MJ song... that or thriller. It's hard, raw, and has heavy beats. I remember watching the video when it first came out, and though it was a re-invention of the soft spoken boy who we knew from the Jackson 5, and his solo work. I remember thinking that this was another facet of the singer, and it seems it was. Plus this was a younger Janet, in a bikini, and before wardrobe malfunctions. :-)

It's really sad that a lot of media outlets are choosing some stories that show him in a negative light. There is a lot of speculation about his death and the autopsy only began this morning. It seems like people are coming out of the woodwork and saying things that may be construed as though there was a lot more behind his death. I would rather have people remember good things, but that's just me I guess.
