Can we get an update on the forthcoming updates please? I understand admin has been put back by the MGM nonsense but its pretty harsh to get our hopes up and then go silent for months.

I was looking forward to a bit of change here, would be nice for something new & different after so long.

In one of the chats, admin spoke of a 'massive overhaul', that would take 'months' to complete and would 'stir things up a lot'.

Side tracked on 15th, by update on att/def and bugs.

( He has to do BC & alliance function updates, BEFORE he starts on ascended, hence relevance. .)

I'm not surprised he has writers block given the current situation lol.

For the record I don't mind if he screws me over with whatever the update will be. I've had my fun chasing down the top accounts and would like a more active server even if it takes away the benefits/advantages I have now.

Many people argue against updates because they have "invested" too much in a particular area. MS's is one that comes to mind. They tend to forget about the "dividends" they've received by way of better farming, better defence, better deterrance amongst other things that have accrued to them over the time of their "investment." And the argument heads down the path of "I want a refund or I'll quit". Well if you get refunded then you've gotten all those extra benefits over the years for free haven't you?

So in light of that, I'm putting my hand up in favour of a broad-based update. I can honestly say I would not be the slightest bit upset if the benefit of my 1 Quintillion dmu "investment" in my account was wiped in an instant, because I've already enjoyed the benefit of it over a year, and I would love to see a more active server.

Take a chance admin, take a risk like you used to on this server back in 06 & 07. Don't be afraid to stir things up a bit. You'll may cop a little criticism from time to time from some noisy people but those who love to have a little fun here away from the (relatively more) seriousness of main will appreciate it if you make the effort.
