SO Im ascending and I trade someone online to hold my UUs then reject... Well I get it figured out and first our armies together would be too much... SO then I trade for my UU for 99999999999999999999999999999999 naq which turns into 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 on the confirm page...
THe trade then shows as
d3stroyer_69 ***** 1 Naquadah 1,000,000,000,000 Naquadah Jul 04, 2009, 5:28 pm
well cuz of this i guess im screwed out of 82m UU
d3stroyer_69 ******* 83,463,600 Untrained 1,000,000,000,000 Naquadah Jul 04, 2009, 4:38 pm Completed.

Im actually surprised the auto ban script didnt ban you for that, if you enter 9's like that into the bank/vault it will autoban you.
So, this is not a bug, you tried to take a short cut and got burned because you where too lazy to type in the correct figure.
Also seeing as you lost the % because they accepted instead of rejecting, i wouldnt be protecting there name either.
So what did you learn today
1: typing the correct figure and not a series of 9's will work better
2: get someone you can trust not to screw you over to trade with next time when ascending.

If you learn 2 without learning 1, you'll be exposing that trusty trader to some extreme temptation..

Actually it doesn't. I have plenty of times put 9999999999999999 in to the vault when banking and removing naq. The only time it would autoban is if a script or something was detected putting in the 999999999999999's.

Well it kind of is a bug.
It was only this year (I think) that Jason increased the broker naq box to allow more than 999b naq. When it was 999b max and you put in 9999999999999999999999999 it would show that on the confirm page but then when you confirm it that actually amount would end up being 1b.
This is the same bug, but the max amount allowed in one broker is just a lot higher than before.

How many times have you seen someone say i got banned, for admin mark to say, you entered to many digits into the banking field,
I state it is not a bug, the guy got bit because he was to lazy to
1 type the correct info
2 double check the broker, as it does make you check it before you hit submit,
99,999,999,999,999 <-- is the max
what he had
999999999999999999 <-- you get the same number of characters as above only this equals 1quad, so the game rounded up and added a 1 to give.
1,000,000,000,000,000
and took the last 3 0's off to give
1,000,000,000,000
I suspect this is done to stop any exploits being preformed hence why the game can ban you for typing in 9's only.

Hey I it is a bug... When I bank I often double click the banking text box, or hit a 9 and click on the longest set of them that show up never been banned...
If id known that all 9's on the market broker for naq was a shortcut for 1T naq, id definitely have typed in 50T rather than 1T.. I did double check the trade and try it also, trade 1 naq for 99999999999's naq to someone and youll see that the confirm page changes on the next page!...
Maybe some kind of warning if theres a naq limit is needed, kinda dumb what I did but Id be peed if someone who knew about this hidden limit told me theyd help just trade a bunch of naq and someone else did.
Trade page from the 4th

1st trade page after hitting a typing an id

2nd confirm page (this shouldnt change from last now I think)

newest market page
Durn im still kinda mad of the hours wasted... If admin makes it so a bunch of naq is brokered, THere should be some kind of warning that its a 1T quick broker... Never would have sold 80m UU for 1t... If id known that the system was set up like though Id have brokered for 42T not 1t...

Yeh i'm with antcliff here. If this had happened to me I would've been really really annoyed. Its not just a case of choosing someone you trust to broker, as the broker system should allow you to put a higher amount on the return side. Logic means that you would put the highest amount possible in that case, which someone would assume is 999999999999999 (or however many digits it is). But if it then rounds that down to a small number, its silly. If thats above the max, it should round it down to the actual max number the broker accepts, not below.

Just go for the max, delete one 9 and be safe.
Never had this problem myself, I always figured you'd get banned for using too many digits or something.. maybe naive, but it's kept my naqz safe.

or if you dont know the person your ascending with very well, you could have traded UU for UU instead of naq i tend to do that myself
EX. 439670000UU for 44000000UU

Similar thing happpened to me. Thankfully the person who was helping me ascend wasn't a tool and didn't take my 90m UU for a trill.

Why not make it be like "direct" trades?
Limit digits to 99,999,999,999,999 manually so if someone tries to add another number, it does nothing. And there's no risk of banning for people not enough carefull. Effective for direct trades and old chaossgw game.
Also: did the person return you the uu? If not, did you pm them to ask them back and explain your mistake. If not returned after that, tell who the person is. Because they stole you and didn't care about your mistake=>indirect scamming.
And I agree, chose a trustful person to ascend. One who will return stuff no matter what
