Turn Income Production

Rather than just showing the total income production per turn i would be greatly interested in seeing Raw TIP, Commander bonus (if any) and planet bonus (if any)

The numbers are already there... just pass them to the UI

mmm doesnt really have any benefit to the game as far as i can see and it would just add another couple numbers that would be changing from turn to turn. we should probably avoid things that could potentially add lag.

It shouldn't add to the lag in any way... You just have to echo 2 extra variables which are already being calculated...

Being a lazy bum myself, I kind of like the idea of a breakdown being displayed.
Then again, if I want to know, I can calculate it myself. If ever I wanted to actually do something. :|

That's the awesome thing about computers. They do all the hard maths that i don't understand or cant do. i already pull the calc out to do it every few days. gets frustrating doing it know those numbers are already calculated.


Recently I trained a bunch of miners, lost an income planet, changed my officers income and my commander changed his also. After all that my TIP is still the same but the amounts from the different income sources has changed. Knowing the separate amounts helps me determine how I should go about increasing my income.


@SuperSaiyan: Can you explain how UP(raw/total) is completely different to what i am proposing?

raw up, has 2 possible factors adding to it, planets, and officers.

income has 5, miners, planets, CO, officers, uu

the little bit a CO gives, just ask them their income and do the calc yourself, I'd imagine it doesn't change that much

you don't have a raw income, first of all, as its a collective of 4 things other than the CO, where as the UP phsically has an upgradable stat :roll:


But I'd imagine in the code itself, all the 'things' will have been assigned to variables, all you need to do is to echo those variables voila :P

Something like

But you missed it SS, UP has more then that, you just don't realise...

You have
1) RAW
2) no-CO bonus (10% no CO)
3) own CO bonus (20% or something for being your own CO)
4) planets
5) officers (rates given to them)
6) amount earned from UU, and that earned from Lifes

I think they are the same in that, they are both resources generated based on several sources. Where the only other resource in the game, turns, is generated at a constant rate from one magical place with no further alternations from other sources.

I know i can ask my commander their income but that's also variable. How annoying is it gonna be getting asked for your income by your officer every few days? I would quickly become commander less and perhaps massed. :P

I agree with the more numbers means more clutter, perhaps implementing an introspection type page like in ascended could be useful to display all these extra numbers, for budding SGW accountants like myself?

I refer to RAW income as: number of miners * rate of income generated per miner as dictated by race

But that's my point SS. Why not have a own income, and total income. Would just be a line under the production. Allows you to see where you'd go down to if you were planet stripped, and your CO left you. To see what you'd have to recover with

RAW income, like RAW UP, is what you have from yourself before planets etc.

So there is raw income in the form of your own personal miners, then there's additions, from planets, and % boosts from commanders etc
