I thought the PTB, when it gave you your goods (in this case, Naquadah) put it in your vault so if the other person accepted while you weren't at the computer, it couldn't be taken? Well, mine was, so i lost 4000 turns, over a trillion naq which i sold them for, plus the repair naq for my weapons, mothership, and troops.

was my belief mistaken, or?

Yes, i did set up the broker.

I set the broker up, yesterday. Went about my business, went to work (I work nights) came home to find that the person had accepted while i was gone, the money went out in the open, and i had been attacked, 6 or so times, losing all the money (and incurring repairs and retrainng costs as well)

Did you have enough space in your vault for the naq? I think if you don't have enough space for the whole broker, it bounces it out in the open.

Doesnt it go in but you lose X amount per turn that is over your limmit

Last time (when they brokered me) it went in my vault, and yes, i lost naq per turn (nominal amount)

But you had more than half of the amount brokered as free bank space.

At least I think it's half.

not a chance at having half. Last time was 5k turns for around 2 tril.
my bank size is 290 bil max right now, and since i just ascended, and used ppts since then, it was lower then.

I've never encountered this scenario myself. I've always had enough bank space.

I think it depends on who sets the broker

dont quote me but if you set the broker, and its more then your bank space you lose some per turn

if they set the broker it goes out in the open

either way any trade bigger then your bank you should do on PPT so it doesnt matter

its actually the other way around

if you set the broker and do not have enough space ALL goes in the open

if they set the broker then even if you do not have enough space, all gets deposited in your bank but then starts to leak out

Aha, ok. So i did screw up. That's all i needed to know, thank you Future trades will be set by the other party then, thanks!

Just don't upset the other party by accepting at an inconvenient time. Otherwise what happened to you will happen to them and some people use SGW whoops forgot again its GW massings for venting their anger.
