Your right it's a game so if you get massed so be it. If you cry because your stat padded account gets raped, then thats your own fault.

Officers get hit in every war - it's just like every real war in the world today, innocent people get killed.

I don't understand why people need a "good" reason to mass someone. I mean, "because I logged in, went to the rankings, saw a bug crawl across the screen on top of your name and decided you should be massed" should be a sufficient reason. This idea of honor is retarded. 1. it's a game 2. it's a war game, there is no such thing as honor.

Yet you do feel you have the right to judge what the gameplay should be as you feel the need to call other people's gameplay sick and twisted.

Everyone is free to play the game however they like. Trying to impose rules on other or judge their gamestyle is arrogant.

It is not about you massing officers of your enemies, Tetris.

It is about my believe that everyone is free to play this game however they liked and no one should be arrogant enough to judge or condemn their style of play (as long no cheating etc is involved)

She has a point Tetris

If it is a valid game tactic, and it is in game mechanics, then why is it considered "wrong" to do so?

I mean take it down to the bare basics. An officer gives resources to their Co. If you are at war why would you not attempt to cut any supply lines your opponent has?

And it is often the best way to get to someone when they dont care about their own account, and sit with only a stike. Sometimes they do care about their officers or the resources they gain from them.

Point still is, no one should be able to dictate someone elses play style. Yes many are low and underhanded, but that doesnt mean they cant be used.

I would think the "one hit wonder", or "hit and run" tactics to be far less "acceptable" then massing officers. What about the steal and planet and delete approach?

I would expect that after all this time everyone would know the risks and dangers of the position of officer or commander. Atleast with them you have a choice, when it comes to the "turtling" accounts that pop up 2 or 3 times a week to mass and then walk away, we no one has a choice with them do they?

**Edit**
If you can tell me that I can't mass your officers, can I tell you that you can't take my planets?

You're making some fairly absurd generalizations.

People who mass others for substandard reasons have no life? What a ridiculous thing to claim. Just because someone likes to piss around in an online game it doesn't automatically make them a sad act in the real world. I'd say it's the people who take the game too seriously, and break out into histrionics everytime someone touches their account, that are more likely to be troubled. Your whole post was ridiculous.

Sounds like a cry for attention.

I mean seriously, what is the "purpose" of this thread besides creating trouble where it is not needed.

The problem is simple. Massing is too easy. Resources are too easy to replace.

Therefore no-one thinks otherwise about massing someones' officer. If it cost half of your account to mass someone, you wouldn't be looking for excuses to do it. You'd be trying to avoid doing it. Thats how it used to be.

I dont judge anyone for playing the game as they choose. Nor should you. But I can comment on the game mechanics.

Now there's no need for RL insults.

I don't see why most people here seem so aggressive towards Tetris and his views on the game :? If he wants to vent a bit let 'em have some space 8)

Like Norbe said, it's too easy to mass, and some people just like to cause others grief on an online video game, but it's just that, a game.. No point getting upset over someone's playing styles on a forum where people are just going to point and laugh. Shake yourself off Tetris, and move on

You seem to have missed the entire point of what I was attempting to say.

You feel like officer massings are low, but that doesnt make it so. Someone else may feel that planet theft is low, but that doesnt make it so. Some feel that massing an entire alliance for the actions of one is low, but that doesnt make it so. Anything within game rules and game mechanics is a viable tactic. If you dont want a valid game tactic used then dont have officers.

From what your saying, someone could just as easily conclude that you yourself got your officer massed. Your the one who went on PPT leaving the attacker with nothing to do.

Now I don't know the situation, don't claim to, and dont want to. Just stating all stories have two sides, atleast. I do generally try to deal with a person first, and others don't, its the difference in play style.

And I believe history will support me when I say that in the short term generally the more aggressive "no holes barred" type players have far greater profenciancies based solely on that play style.
