I think it would be very hard to make a rule about what sigs are appropriate and what aren't. To be able put in to words what images are and aren't appropriate and cover the entire field... would be pretty much impossible.

I don't see why there is a rule needed for Image Size though? If it stretches the page then it should be spoiler'd and if it's killing your load time, image block it.

First off, PoD's sig isn't racist, if it was it wouldn't be allowed.

Secondly, there already are rules regarding sig size.

Might be reasonable to consider Image hosting sites rules ..

Also, isn't it ILLEGAL to reload a sig after it was deleted by site authorities regarding to site rules (photobucket)?

Unless it's by other sites like imageshack, however, it's not much more permitted by imageshack rules and there was already images deleted from that site too for rules breaking.

If Photobucket staff deleted it, I think it can't be more obvious that it is very inappropriate, isn't it?

We have our own rules, and what we consider appropriate or inappropriate is judged according to those. I don't think we should be taking our lead from external sources on issues like this.

Ok.

Not that the rules set by photobucket and other hosting sites aren't useful. They provide a good guideline on what is and isn't acceptable.

Ultimately you will do as you see fit in the case, but dont you find it kind of wrong that you will cut out swearing on the forums, that people hear and use everyday in real life,

You even removed a sig that had the word Anus in it because it "offended some people"

Yet you will allow a sig with the swastica in it, which is/was a sign of the Nazi's who where the cause of millions of innocent people being murdered.

I think you have your views on things slightly ajar here.

I agree it should be removed, it is highly offensive to many people, both directly and indirectly.

If you leave it there, you are opening yourself to massive double standards and an uproar when people start making highly offensive names, im sure its a hassle ud rather not have later, when you can put a lid on it now.

What's a "highly offensive name"? Adolf Hitler? That's about as offensive as the night sky.

But, before then, it was used in countless religions, such as indian based, native american based, Heck, it was even used in Buddhism.

Now, if it was the Nazi Flag, that would be one thing. But, if its just the swastika, you cant really tell.

And im not condoning anyones actions, seeing as i have never Seen PoD's Sig
