Leonard Cohen

I saw him live at the Liverpool Echo Arena last night, and he was sublime.

One of the most important and influencial songwriters of our time. A poet, a prophet, a thinker, a cynic, an optimist and all-around brilliant entertainer. I've loved his music since I was fifteen, and last night was the culmination of my fandom. 75 years old and he put performers a third of his age to shame.

Anybody else a fan?

Re: Leonard Cohen

I'm a definite fan. My stepdad got me started. I wouldn't go to a concert, but Hallelujah and First We Take Manhatten remain high on my chilling playlist.
There's always free cheese in a rat trap.

With all due respect..
Leonard = the bomb.

By default, everyone with some sense of taste loves his music and lyrics.

I always thought point is that there'll never be a miracle, but that so many of us waste so much of our lives waiting for things which will probably never happen instead of going out and living. That's how I interpreted it, anyway, but I guess part of the beauty of Cohen's music is that it can mean different things to different people.
