Question about Negative Naq Autoban

I've noticed a few threads started by players who had been autobanned for having negative Naq out.

As I understand, there is only one way to encounter this coincidence: You bank at the exact same time someone hits you for the Naq you were banking. So:

1. The person is obviously not "cheating". Maybe that should be removed from the autoban message.

2. I can't think of a plausible way the player could intentionally manufacture such an incident.

3. The attacker should keep the Naq. The banker simply loses the Naq they were banking (ie. they have 0 Naq out and 0 increase to banked Naq). It's as if they were robbed at the teller counter of the bank itself. The metaphor seems implausible, but so does the chance of being Naq hit at the exact instant you were banking.

Just my thoughts.

It's something about using a script to bank, and it banks a set amount, so if you have less than what the script wants to bank you get -naq and are banned. When you normally bank if the number entered is bigger than how much naq you have out it just banks how much you have, but since it's a script banking that doesn't happen and you get -naq.

That is my understanding but I could (probably) be way wrong.

Yeah... I did consider that... but Jason's server has no way to know whether my computer is using ME or using a SCRIPT to bank... it's just a number traveling over the net. I could enter a larger amount than what I have out, manually.

.... and the posts (from memory, Lore had one recently) seem like they were trying to bank ALL of their Naq, as it - by default - enters in the field when you click your bank link in the Command Centre.

I could comfortably assume that Lore is not a cheat (not to say that others ARE, just an example).

Well you are mistaken on a few points

1. it can be dome with naq and UU
2. It can be both you and someone else acting, and also 2 other people hitting you at the same time can do it also, you dont have to be involved.
3. the actual amount is irrelevant, any two actions happening at the same time creates the effect, if they both added together put you in the negative field.

Well the UU one must have some sort of grace period. I've trained all my UU on a number of occasions, only to have it display -1 Untrained afterward. I usually just untrain 1 miner whenever I notice it. If it's intentional, I'd imagine there should be a grace period for the "- Naq", allowing you to unbank enough to get back to 0.

On your other points, I stand corrected.

That is not correct. Two people cannot hit the same target at the same time anymore.
