So, I just finished a 4 show run of "The Music Man" at a local theater. I was working as a sound tech, and absolutely loved every minute of it. Both working with the cast and the rest of the crew. It all culminated this afternoon with a 2pm performance and then dinner at a neighborhood place. Each of our shows was COMPLETELY SOLD OUT (~400 seats + standing room only) and it was a great success. I wonder if anybody else from SGW has been involved with a stage production (or even The Music Man?). Here is the cast/crew group photo. Oh, and I am in it 8)

well until a few years ago i was involved regularly with stage things, well.... i was more or less a techo operating the cameras/CCU's/whatever i was rostered for. my old church that weekly seats 2000+ people has a video ministry, so i'd be acting as a technical directors assistant, a DA (in charge of queuing tapes for live playback, and communications between FoH audio, Staging and the TV crew), cameraman, etc etc.

i dont exactly have any photos to prove it or anything though

heh

i used to help run my schools yearly show for the past 5 years

did pretty much everything, from building sets, to lighting and sound. Even acted as a prompt for the people on stage lol

took part in a few youth theatre groups as well, which was good fun :-D

most important factor for doing a school show: you get abt 2 weeks out of class to do it :-D
