Today a few members of the vast sgw community have started to work on a new and revived neewspaper for the sgw community. Now we all enjoy the game in some sort of way and to make it a bit more interesting we want this article to come out once every 2-4 weeks. Offcourse we cant fill a newspaper if we dont have anything to write about. Therefor we ask the oppinions on what people would want to see/read in it. Suggestions are always welcome and they can be mailed to gatewarschronical@gmail.com

Sounds good. I'd love to help out how ever possible. I was interested in this last time to renewal was attempted but due to some 'issues' i couldn't be as helpful as i intended on being. I'll start looking about and if i see anything worth the news letters time/effort I'll contact you

I think wars and alliances being created and broken are always good head lines.

Nice idea. Not really a writer here, but had a suggestion for a topic, Emailed to the address given above.

Hm, possible categories I can think of would be:

- updates (name should explain itself)
- "... did you know?" (a smaller category in which you could include random hints about SGW gameplay)
- news about alliances being created / abandoned (like suggested in this thread already, i.e. one of the newer examples would be Nemesis Prime, might include interviews with the founder / leader)
- "Introducing [Name]" (introducing an already existing Empire, Alliance or Player, with interview(s))
- "Behind the scenes" (interview with a mod / admin about his work, if admin then maybe some hints about next updates, what he currently is working on etc)

in my opinion, war reports are hard to keep neutral and thus often are the basis for flame, so be carefull with them.

i would say a weekly interview with various famous or infamous members of the community would be interesting. Just random stuff concerning their alliance, how they feel the community/ game is developing and what they eat for breakfast.
Also maybe some kind of role playing section as i think roleplaying needs some more attention now the main races are diminishing.
Alliance lists and updates would be very useful.

I would be willing to help though im not sure how my journalistic skills are

Good ideas so far from what i see i also rekon should add

- Winners of that "Sig of the week" competition
- A war part but with no opinions just updates on who is fighting who
- Maybe a RP section with the occasional special guest being picked for interesting story purposes (this one could be hard, so maybe make a thread for the community to participate in and copy it in for everyone else to see )

cant really think of much more...

well, i've been help freespirit with this and i'd like to expand on previous newsletters by widening the area of intrest, most, if not all of the ideas being put forward are being game related, i'd like to have anything and everything for the newsletter, from movie reviews to stories to gardening tips

so the fresher the ideas the better!
