Alliance Fleet

I would like to suggest an option to make the several insanely big MSs ingame massable by normal size players. It makes perfect sense to me that several medium cruisers could take a battleship.
It would work by every player having a tick box to assign there MS to the 'Alliance Fleet'
On the alliance screen, the leader/2Ic could then give any member the title of 'Admiral' and the 'Alliance Fleet' would then fight under the 'Admirals' Command, this would of course work both ways and the 'Alliance Fleet' would be attacked if the 'Admiral' was attacked.
Damage to the 'Alliance Fleet' would be split by % of MS size over the ships assigned to it.
Repairs I'm not sure of, couple of options,
1) Admiral can make repairs on his MS screen
2) Players who MSs are assigned being on-line to make individual repairs
3) Alliance bank use for fleet repairs by player named 'Admiral'
I would prefer option 2, so inactives cant just give there MS to actives to use, the alliance bank option would only really work if alliance members could deposit Naq in the alliance bank.
Alliance Fleet -v- Alliance Fleet option if 2 Admirals fight
All 'Admiral' and 'Assign MS to Alliance Fleet' options to last for 24 hours
Any thoughts, counter suggestions, flaws I missed, all comments welcome

Also possible to use 'Alliance Fleets' combined fleets to conquer massive Planet Defenses/Platforms

Hmm...
Couldnt you switch round Admiral so the enemy didnt know who it was and therefore just take down player after players MS without them knowing who ended up with it.
Also, many people work very hard to get decent MS's and it might not seem fair for a couple of smaller people to band together and smash it with minimal effort.
Also alliances with many people with insane MS's would just smash through a MS then crush the defense taking hardly any losses at all, defenses should be able to stand SOME chance

I don't like it. It's just like the empires atm, attack us, we remove you from the game attitude.
Also, planet defenses are easily take-able as they are. The cost of defending a planet against the average joe for a single player is cheaper, but take that over say 10 planets, and fleets easily have the upper hand, especially with the cost spike over 500k defenses.

Abusable...Imagine if MS ranks 1,2,3,4,5 somehow 'teamed together'... What will happen then?

Actually CABAL I was thinking the other way around, what if one of the alliances that has 90 very small members all put their MSs into the fleet. It's a bunch of relatively weak ships say 50b max, but 50*90 = 4.5t so that's a massive MS. Now there is such a thing as small ships, no matter how numerous unless they all suicide can defeat a bigger one.
Even if there was not quite so small but say 200b, that's still exploitable, and makes the alliance required to do it much smaller.
It's a nice idea, but too exploitable IMO.

The only way i can see this work, is that there's a limit to power, or number or something. Limit the power to like 10x the largest MS's max power, or you can only attack alliances with members like 5 smaller or 5 larger or in between. Though Tekki, if the top 5 did band together, nothing would be safe, apart from 100% safe features like vacation and merlins

its an interesting idea. just needs a fair bit of massaging.
what about an alliance war that just consists of mother ships head to head. the loosing alliances MS's are destroyed?

I don't think this would be approved, people have spend 10's if not 100's of T of naq on their MS, and having that taken away in a simple war is a bit much. However, i support more waring options

K I see some of the points being made being a problem, like if several giant MSs combined in a fleet, I suppose a limit on tleet time could fix that, 24 hour in fleet = at least 24 hours out of fleet afterwards, and maybe 30 days of alliance membership before you can be in the fleet.

why should 2 say 500 bil MS be just as strong enough as a 1 tril one considering that the naq spent on the 1 tril MS is a way more then the naq spent on two 500 bil MS combined?

I agree someone who has spent tons of naq on their MS will be just as powerful if 2-3 people have decent MS's

and that punishes the big MS without any real gain to them

There are a few kinks to work out before something acceptable and fair is found. As far as the idea goes its not bad, it just needs to be more well rounded for both the low MS's and the High MS's without favoring either one more.

well, maybe the MS of the Admiral could have 100% power and every other added MS only would give 50% of it's power to the total power of the fleet.

that gets it closer to working. but i still think it wont work in the end
