well, i said it before he took office and i'll say it now...OBAMA IS NO GOOD!

the latest Rasmussen polls have Obama's approval rating at 45% in the first 6 months of his presidency, that's the fastest drop of ANY president in history, even Jimmy Carters or GWB's approval didn't drop that quickly.

Not forgetting that he still has Gw's mess to clean up it isnt that suprising after all. People arent very patient when it comes to political folks promising to clean up, they expect to see results right away.

A more balenced approach would be to wait for at least 12 months before coming to any conclusion

well, the man made a host of promises about pulling out the troops from day one, no new taxes, and a whole host of other promises, he's kept none of his promises and now wants to hand TOTAL power to the federal reserve board, nationalize healthcare (great for the UK, not so great for the US), federalize ALL water, including rain puddles with the clean water restoration bill, bring in carbon taxes with the green bills going through right now and a score of other bills directed and destroying the 2nd amendment.

I think people need to calm down. I'm sure most of us wouldn't have the first clue what to do as president. It takes a while, and I'm not judging until the next election, when we have FOUR years to look back on.

here is another controversial comparison for you guys

Obama is promoting a socialist nation and those who value the right to vote and freedom of speech and everything else we as a democratic republic are entitled to should be a bit more wary of someone as radically left wing as Obama is...........

Saddam Hussein was the President of Iraq from July 16, 1979 until April 9, 2003. Directly from wikipedia. Pinochet was the president of the Government Junta of Chile from 1973 to 1981 and President of the Republic from 1974. Hitler was the dictator of Germany from 1933 to 1945. All of this is in the FIRST paragraph from wiki. Please, use a better metaphor. The OP in this thread is rushing to conclusions based on a few months of data. We can conclude from YEARS that Pinochet, Saddam, and Hitler were bad. That's a very unfair comparison.

Good wikiing. *grin* But you completely misunderstood my point.
At the time, many Germans and non-Germans alike said "let's see what this chap Hitler has to offer". At the time, Pinochet was considered a very good reformer, one who would bring a new Republic right from the start. People said "Let's give him some time," and Chile went down the crapper. Saddam was yet another reformer.. very 'great' at the beginning.
Don't tell me my comparison is bad. It's exactly what I want it to be. Over the top, yet essentially undeniable.

It is hardly a bad idea to wait at least 12months before coming to any conclusion, as 12months in politics is practically nothing.

So any time we see someone who seems like they have a few good ideas, we elect them, and then they start off on what-seems-to-be the wrong foot, they're hitler? Sorry, but life doesn't work that way. Comparisons that are over the top are unnecessary. Comparing Obama to Hitler is just dumb, not what ever you meant with "over the top but undeniable."

if a person doesn't have the first clue how to run their respective country then they have no business being the head of state, let alone the most powerful nation on the planet.

a few months of data?! :?

i don't want Americas to get me wrong here, i',m not out to bash the man for no reason, god knows, i hate Gordon Brown for exactly the same reasons i hate Obama, they are both puppets!

fact 1, the man has failed to show a birth certificate even though growing numbers of Americans are demanding to see it, and if its shown that he has no business being prez of the US, he will have put the entire political structure of the US into turmoil and possible jeopardy. fact 2, a receipt of a birth certificate is NOT a birth certificate. fact 3, the man is continuing GWB's policy's.

at the end of the day, the way he's going America will end up going into receivership and if things carry on much more, the Dollar will lose its world currency reserve status...

you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work out that Obama could not and would not change for the better if he knew how.

True. How long does it take to change a Constitution though? :)

You seem to lack a logical mind, so I will not waste my time with your irrational and emotional arguing.

It's not logical to say that 10 years=/= less than 1 year? I'm a prelaw student and I'm incredibly logical. Comparing dissimilar people and then getting emotional when proven wrong is not logical.
