How often do you search for your own name on the forums?

Ive done it before. My name mostly brings up 'REK' mispelled or tek'ma tek.
i should probably sleep with someones wife, i think id find my name more often that way.

I do once in awhile when bored, it's quite disturbing looking back 2000 posts and seeing how much of a newb I was at one point
Oh and yeah, I do search myself once a week or so, to see if I missed responding to someone, or to see if someone's been talking "behind my back" about me

Everytime i log into the forums. if soemone directs a post at me then its way easier to find that way

I search my name atleast once per day. That way i find any posts directed at me straight away rather than looking at every post. However I have to search clark* because my name is spelled wrong so often.

I'm glad it's not just me, then.
I do it every day. Seriously. It's one of the first things I do when I login. Even before I check my private messages or look at important admin stuff.
Additionally, the VERY first thing I did upon gaining access to the mod/supermod/admin forums was doing a search for my own name and thoroughly examining all of the relevant posts.

its funny you mention that Mordack because right after i read this i searched my name in the mod forums and i guess i must have been on holiday or away during exams whilst a few people mentioned my name here and there, especially on Buck's leaving thread, and here's to say i hope to correctify that Buck!

Oh,
that is something I did too (well.. mod section only ofc), straight the first time I became a mod. Was interesting to compare the differences when I became a mod again.
Funny how I knew most I read there already back then.
I occasionally (sometimes more as other times..) search on my old nicks. One who changes name as often as I do has to keep track of things like that. Sometimes people refer to me by old nicks, and then it becomes advisable to look for them too.

Cannot say I have personally done it.. however it has cropped up in conversation and I have a freaky memory.. so I know how many times my name appears in a forum wide search and how many times it appears in the mod section.

how many times does semper appear on the mod section then?
i can tell you now its a surprisingly large amount
more than mine anyway...
