ingame PMs not working

I get this message when trying to send a PM to anyone ingame. I've tested it trying to send to several users now, all are defiantely active and in the same realm as me.
"Error while sending the mail. Are you in the same plane of existence? Are you sure they still exist? Or maybe just try again later...."
Perhaps related to the inbox not showing?
