Recently my officer killervirus44's officers recieved a message from
kill3rvirus44 (46980) that they should all join a player named alphabeta (35311). Now I realize that this scam has happened before, and the officers should pay more attention. But being that alphabeta is taking full credit, I think that it should be looked into if they are on same IP.

(Also I cannot destroy him because he has only covert, no strike or defence... lol )

We know...hes done this before...again and again and again...

You guys have no proof that this was amit. He is definatly not the first to scam someone, and definatly wont be the last. Changing ones name means nothing. Though I find amit highly annoying, blindly accusing him because you THINK its him is not enough proof to do anything about amit...

I suggest that this topic be locked, since there is absolutly no presented proof amit was involved. Unless the accuser wishes to provide actual proof or change his accusation to the guy who actually stole the stuff...

I only say it was amittomar - because he took complete credit in ingame messages to my officer - I will check and see if he still has them.

i got a pm in game from a guy called The O Neill, who was saying he's my CO and that I should help out a guy called alphabeta, a freind of him. I did a little recon on alphabeta and the second day he changed his name to amittomar... This doesn't prove anything no?!

Amit's name is _warlord_ at the moment....not amittomar It has been for a day or two so anyone could have used the name amittomar.

The recipient has the same id number as amittomar, but thats besides the point, the point is surely both the id numbers accounts should be banned (or warned) if proof can be given (I will searching my msn logs)

+ amit has an e-mail sumthig like alphabeta or sumthin but dont know he tryes to buy smthing and then u block him and suddenly get added by some1 strange oooooo so u go along with it and then he has same player id oooo the guys just sad

Amittomar, once a scammer, now a cheat.

Multi-accounts. He bought Treebeards account off of him, so he now has two accounts...slightly ironic that he is the same IP as me however...

I can't even attack him to kill the little cheat...

Doubtless hewill attempt to disprove his claim...any game mod or forum himself, check the games IP logs...you will find the IP of the treebeard account in main and in ascended to have changed.

im sorry but how is asking someone to join someone else wrong, is it against the rules or am i missing something???

thunder to answer your question, if it is the same person creating another account to say that its multi-ing, however skyflame could have done this himself just to set amit up, he even has the same IP address

slightly ironic that he is the same IP as me however

skyflame stated this in his first post on his other thread. so how do we know its not him?

I have come to my conclusion of all of these threads and it is this:

We are dealing with one person here.... They are all just one schizophrenic person and that explains why they always seem to be together. Some of his personalities do no tlike multying, and they try to stop him. Evil Within seems to dislike Amit but for some reason gives Amit access to HIS COMPUTER, i dont get that, i think these are just either a group of Screwed up people or more likely in my view one crazy one :p well that is my idea hope you all like it.

Although I tore amittomar to shreds in another thread, I'm with thunder on this one - amittomar is not cheating if he is changing his name and attempting to get other players to join him in doing so. It is deceptive, yes! But it is not cheating. Are you seriously trying to tell me that there have been no deceptive characters within SG1 or Atlantis.

To be brutally honest - this kind of deception is not worth started up a 'cheat' thread. It is worth announcing if you wish to warn others - but it is NOT cheating (unless a multi is being used). The best way to deal with it is to attack/sab the hell out of anyone that does it - isn't that the best way to deal with deceivers?

As I said in the other current amittomar thread - there is a fine line between scamming/cheating and playing the game to your advantage. I believe that this is actually playing the game.
