Name Change

Trying to do a name change in main. I had 3 left and am down to one. I tried to change to some form of Riddick, tried Riddick1968, ~Riddick~, [Riddick], {Riddick}, none worked. I kept getting this message.
That name has illegal characters. Please use only a-z, 1-9, [, ], _, and space.
WTH?

Browser computability. It maybe adding some hidden character for terminating of string at the end when submitted.
Just a thought, I've never had any trouble, but I've only ever used IE/Firefox

Dunno then. You COULD e-mail admin, and see if their willing to change your name for you, with the deduction of the counter for name changes.
Or, try writing what you want in notepad, and copy-paste it into firefox. Could work.
I also remember i think someone else had a similar problem previously. Have you had a search of other posts in the admin section yet?

Yeah, and talked to Clarkey about it. I'll try the copy and paste from notebook. Hadn't thought of that.

There's plenty of names with that in it, there's even some riddick's ingame.
Unless that word is banned recently and therefore old accounts with that in still exist.

There are only 13 with "
dick" in their names.
And they're all relatively old.
So I guess it's become a banned word then?

I will not try, because if it does, he won't be able to use the name anymore.

Try using it as your race then. If it picks that up too, then maybe soundwave is right
