Failed spy attempts...

Ok how can we have it COVERT vs ANTICOVERT when spying....which makes it impossible to know how many you need to send and then when you fail a spy attempt lose 25% of our spies?

Needs to be changed either to:

seeing naq = COV vs COV + spying = COV vs COV

OR

seeing naq = AC vs AC + spying = AC vs AC

cant be how it is now if you lose 25%! - imagine sending 1m spies and losing 250k ...

If i didnt make it clear... it is currently:

seeing naq = COV vs COV but spying = COV vs AC

it is close to that. (cov vs cov) but i still have my doubts. it may be total covert(cov+anti) vs total covert(cov+anti). still it should be fixed. the way it is currently to clarify the problem is that you can see naq but not necessarily spy the person. but that leaves no way to actually determine what you need to spy. As it is currently i think... if someone had a huge AC and low covert that they would repel many trying to spy.

p.s. i dont think spy loss is 25 %. seems small. but not sure

Goes to train up large AC

and No real covert

Lotta people knew from last wave this is how it works Hippy, hence quite a few who already have massive AC compared to covert. But yes it is annoying in some ways, coz seeing naq does not actually make the slightest different to spying or sabbing success. But on the other hand at least people have a lot of AC trained up at all times which can be massed ;)

Yes but the difference is that last wave you lost 1 (yes 1 itty bitty spy) if you failed a spy...this wave you lose 25% (i just sent 2k, failed, and got back 1.5k) which is a bit harsh on something you cannot calculate or even mildly estimate!

I agree that sab should be big penalty for failing...but not spy!

i don't think 25% is that harsh, people just got spoilt last wave because spy and sab fails were largely irrelevant for losses.

Simplest way to fix things for this wave is to change the code to check AC instead of covert for seeing how much naq and what army size are displayed when you view someone. That way it is much easier to see whether you are likely to fail, like in main if you see ???? for naq and army size there is a very high chance of failure.

Indeed. If it was able to be calculated, i would have no problem with 25% :P
