Dont think it would hurt, would encourage growth. Just as Ranked ME encouraged random massings.

Thoughts?

example:

Turn Income Production: 26,057,198,325 Naquadah (in 8 minutes) Ranked: 415
Unit Production 360,000 /day (1,988,200 total) Ranked: 48

I think that would put a strain on the server unnecessarily ....

It would change when all the other ranks change, which take a good minute or two into turn change.

I like the idea.

I have a personal dislike for ME. Since there's no negative values, you just do damage wherever, whenever, and get more points. Pointless and skill-less, but none the less, people still do it

As Starscr3am said, ranking already is delayed be at least 2 mins into the turn anyway. What's the big difference between 2 mins, and 3? Since it doesn't really have any major affect, accept though hanging around the various G&R marks...

I like it. Even if it was just updated daily pretty cool idea.

I don't see the point to it.

1. It will put more traffic on the server.
2. You are NEVER going to tell anyone your rank – EVER

Why won’t you do it? Simple.

Person: Oh oh oh, I have rank 1 UP
Me: WOOT, hello raiding target!

Alternatively

Person: Oh oh oh, I have rank 1 income
Me: WOOT, hello supplemental income provider – aka farm

And as a bonus should those people EVER put up a defence, simply means hello more ME.

So really, I don’t see a point to it except as adding more random massings.

It wouldnt be something to brag about, just something to know how far up in the mix you are. I have always prided myself on my large UP and would love to know how many others are above. This would motivate me to increase it. And sure, I know a few 500mil + with 3mil + ups. Doesnt mean im going to mass them so I can raid them. But I see your point and respect it. As previously mentioned even if it updated once a day I wouldnt mind.

If it's just for you then that's still a bit of waste.

I mean I look at the stats you gave, and you know what I see there? Beyond a raiding target? A planet donation target.

So your saying that Defense rank, Covert rank, and MS rank, are all useless too? Since broadcasting any of these ranks is pretty much saying "Come get some"...

Along with removing all stats on ascended, since everything is pretty much fair game on there, except undeveloped planets...

Waste of server bandwidth IMHO, and completely unnecessary.

just post your ID, and find out how safe they are lol.

If you wouldn't want to post your income/UP rank, then there's no point to any rank in ascended, since a similar thing would happen
