The Basterds:
I give Inglourious Basterds a 8/10 for simply being new, and outlandish. Some may disagree but I definately say this movie is worth a peak.

Definately a rent.

Anyone else? :D

District 9:
This movie is an amazing movie but the first part is a bit of talking and for this I give it a 8.5/10. The ending is absolutely amazing and I look forward to the sequel (I hope there is one, bloody amazing I tells you).

Definately a movie to see in theaters.

Anyone elses opinion? :D

Indeed. I will edit the title to include District 9 although, it was a bit..mm..silly. To say the least..until mid-way ending then it was awesome.

My girlfriend in South African, took her along to see it. Was a laugh :D

Those slums that the aliens live in...people actually live in those things in R/L

District 9 was awesome..

It did start reaalllly slow though IMO.

Didn't pick up until about 20 mins in.

I hate when movies leave you in suspense like that though, there better be a sequal...

I've yet to so Inglourious Bastards, we almost watched it instead of District 9 but D9 started 5 mins after we got that there and we would have had to wait an hour and a half for IG.

Have to agree with the rating for District 9 there Noobert...quality stuff...

Personally I hope there isn't a sequel though...would kind of take away from the "message" of the movie...

The point is to leave you wondering I think... 8)
(also, I haven't seen 9, I'm hoping it turns out as good as it seems, and not "the adventures of sackboy" as my sister's fiance thinks)

Yup, those slums are lived in RL over here...I just wish Neill Blomkamp could have gotten the funding to make Halo...alas that failed but I think now that D9 has been such a hit there may be a possibility of Halo actually being made YAY

Rofl noob , inglorious basterds new?
When I searched for it on some sites
I only found the results of a 1972 version with the right spelling of the word bastards.

But still I loved the movie
especially the accent of Aldo in the start and in the theatres.

I haven't seen the second movie.

Just watched Inglourious Basterds and as a Tarantino fan very disappointed, where were the hotties, where was the cool soundtrack, where was the clever witty quick fire convo's, and where were the surprising plot twists ???

I havent seen the original 1978 film and it's revue shows very few similarities, but what the hell was Tarantino thinking trying to do a remake, bad remakes being the curse of Hollywood in recent years.

Poor, would NOT recommend

Christoph Waltz made 'Inglorious Basterds' for me. It was a truly brilliant and compelling performance. Just the kind of character I like to see.
