ok this is my half attempt due to well i haven't finished it and I Paint.NET so GIF files are not that great quality but if you like it i'll continue on with it

it's not bad for a first attempt mate, it's up to you as to whether or not you want to carry on with it or not. colton and supersaiyan are both working on one too so it's a bit of a competition really lol
i don't mean to tell you how to do it as i can't do this sort of thing but i think you need to use a different program, one that is clearer...... hope that helps

as a gif its not clear but as a jpeg its flawless only thing is on Paint.NET you can't lose the back ground unless its a GIF so it would have to be rectangle 
i'll see what i can do
Paint.NET is completly FREE thats why i use it and 8 out of 10 time it produces greater quality than other systems such as PS

i guess i'll leave it open for another week. if any of the people already trying are almost finished but aren't quite there then obviously i will give them time to finish.
