Perg

After reading this topic
viewtopic.php?f=101&t=150622It shows that something needs to be done, i dont think perg was ever intended to allow people to build massive stats and sit at rank 1 etc without any effort,
Soooo
I think that after 30 days in perg, you should lose 10% of your income/Up a day, everyday for 8 days, when it gets to 20% you stay at 20% for a further 10 days, then it auto removes you from perg, and you cannot re-enter it for 7 days.
With the raiding etc in perg, 30 days, it plenty of time for any active person to get up to the cap that perg allows.

to be honest, being rank ones pretty useless when you're in perg, so what does it really matter?
its nothing more than a number?

Useless? Did they remove Glory while in Purg?
Unless I'm mistaken you can go into purg, ascend easily then come out later.
Given that my understanding of purg was it was meant to be a safe hiding place to avoid bullying people need to be able to go in and out of it but the question then becomes are they meant to be able to play forever in there? I didn't think so. Something to push people out is not a bad idea.

Oh yeah, I remember that update... the one that slowed the entire game down.
How about lowering the size limit for purgatory again?
(I tend to ignore or forget purg 'cos I'm in no danger of ever entering it.)

Lower entry size to about 15mil, so only 'true newbs' can enter, an have the kick at about 30mil. As with GeneralChaos' idea, it should be applied to players above the 30mil kick, so they don`t suddenly get kicked out of perg while sleeping >_>

I think you'll find it's relative for a reason.
Yes, i agree that newby's are around that size.
But personally, i like the dynamic cap. Since, it's relative to the other sizes. If it was still say 30M, and accounts were at the billion units stage, then 30M would almost have to be the starting account size.
Perhaps make it 5% instead of 10% before the plague hits?
However, i don't agree with GC's idea. New players shouldn't be punished for being in there to start with. It should only be the those whom have experience, and sit in there for easy stats. Perhaps make it such that it's based on time in game, or relative size to the perg cap, once about say 50% of the cap?
And even have the auto-kick once above the entry level size, and just give them 24Hr PPT (though I'm pretty sure there's a way to exploit this, without adding a minimum re-entry/week or something)

maybe have a fee everytime you grow to a new size so example
30mill = 100bill
35mill = 500bill
40mill = 1t
and so on??

i belive it should be left as it is as
•Nov 2008 Pergatory Update
◦Pergatory entry requirements have been updated -ontop of all previous restrictions, one can now only enter pergatory after 24 hours of no attacking, no ppt, and no vacation.
◦Maximum glory gained per turn while in pergatory, regardless of rank, is limited to one.
◦Maximum attack turns used on one player in 24 hours is limited to 60.
◦These updates are intended to slow the pace of pergatory down, at least with repect to activity against any one account. Pergatory was always intended as a valid, albeit slower, gameplay style. These changes will help to bring it back closer to this original goal
kicking bigger perg players wont slow the game in any way i belive the only people who would want to change this are people in normal who wish to ruin/attack people from perg with good ranks am i wrong
so i belive it stay unchanged

i think the main issue is that they can build stats and steal the good gnr range and ppl on the outside can do nothing to stop them

then maybe perg player should not be counted in the top 2% or what ever the top G+R range is

Yes, i think this is the crux of the argument.
If someone can maintain RANK1 inside Perg, then no one in normal, can take advantage of the 10G&R/turn.
Then if the top (0.2, or 0.02 or whatever %) are also taken by *pergatorians* (copyrighted

), NOONE can get more then 1G&R/turn
Also Tacoma, it was meant to slow down perg players, not main players. Such that people couldn't take advantage of the awesome protection in there
-Edit-
Yeh maybe, though i'd say limit the rank in perg, or even have a different rank, which doesn't earn you ANY G&R at all. Since it's not there to ascend, but to start out

i know where you are coming from and can think of atleast one individual who takes advantage of being in the top spot and 1 alliance but they should not be counted in the top percent as they are i a different realm or just come and mass them
i'll be honest im quite baist as i dont have the time to play in normal but play of a weekend so perg is perfecr for me and would still considermyself a nood

yea changing the rank would work then you could get use to the game and grow to reasonable size 30mil or whatever then join mains,
what bout you can only go in perg for x amount of day per year??

Thing is, it's designed mostly for starter accounts. If that was gonna be done, it would have to be like first 3 months, For example. And not a specific number of days/year.
