I hereby suggest a simple fix! Make it so after it's expired you have X amount of time to reclaim it instead of having it pop into the open then after the time expires, have it pop into the open!

Who's with me?!

It explodes on the next person to attack you, destroying all their weapons and spies.

my worry is it could be used as a trick so when you get them and confirm someone could have a heads up about it..

Simpler fix?

Allow the dam starter of the trade to cancel. If you wait a day, and they don't accept, screw them imo. Who REALLY wants to wait another 24 hours for it to expire, weather it give you time to reclaim or not. I'd prefer to be able to cancel it, and broker someone else online, or more reliable.

-Edit-

Probably should be so aggressive, but it is quite frustrating, and i bet if there was a pole, and everyone was honest, >90% would want to be able to cancel trades

how much we wont it, it wont happen mate scamming will be a hell of alot easyier then and alot more of it will happen with people loseing out becuase one person cancels the trade after they have sent $$

This is true, except, the person whom brokers can still have the trade accepted, before the person clicks the "send $$" button (or whatever it is)

I'd much rather scam (not that i would  )and do a huge trade for say 50mUU for 30T naq, wait for the trade to cancel, let ALL my alliance know the EXACT time, and then have the person massed for all Naq, and then sell it off for $$. Imo, this is a much more realistic, and easier scam. Especially if you know the person is trying to get sombrero in a hurry (aka bed), so they'll be in a similar rush in 2 days time...

Dancing time.
Seriously though.. it's just like calling back credit card payments. Shouldn't exist in RL, shouldn't exist in game.

Sif copy paste the thread into MS Word and scrutinize my spelling!
:-D

It's not really the same, since if you use a CC in a shop, you get the stuff instant anyway, so it's more like an auto-broker.

EDIT: !!!MY QUOTES WORK NOW!!!
