Brokering bug?

I don't know if this is technically a 'bug', or more so a loophole in the system.

Years ago the brokering system ingame did not allow brokers to be placed for resources that a player did not have. Ie. you could not initiate a trade for 7K of your turns for 3.5 trill naq if you only held 300 turns.

I experienced this today (if it's too small, click it and it should get larger):

I don't think that is really supposed to happen, or if it is, could it be changed? Both brokers were set at the same time for more turns than I held, and I had to reject a trade thereby allowing someone to potentially get hit for naq I refused to take during a proposed trade.

Maybe there is a way to prevent two brokers from being set at the same time (maybe delay each broker by at least 5 seconds after the last)? Or if it already is delayed, why did I get brokers for more turns than I held? I'm pretty sure this isn't supposed to happen, as I cannot accept them both.

Actually, when you reject a broker, don't you have a certain amount of time to recover the goods... so in essence they're not in the open until the timer to recover the goods runs out.

Looks like trader 1 lucked out by milliseconds.

Also, the trades maybe set for resources you don't have, but you will not be able to accept these trades without the resources.

You weren't the initiator, so you haven't put any resources up

Still, if player A brokers B for X turns, and X turns would bring B over the limit, the system kicks in, or at least it SHOULD. I´ve experience with it.
So yes, this is a bug

I think you are wrong in this particular issue.

Trader 1 brokered Spacey 2.5t naq in exchange for 5,000 of Spacey's ATs. Therefore Trader 1 receiving the ATs. As long as he had under 5k himself then it is fine.

Trader 2 brokered Spacey 2.5t naq in exchange for 5,000 of Spacey's ATs. Therefore Trader 2 receiving the ATs. As long as he had under 5k himself then it is fine.

No-one in this case would have been over the limit as long as both traders 1 & 2 had under 5k ATs.

See, thing is, you could accept either broker, and they system can not tell which one it is you will accept (you may have a bias against/for an alliance for example)

Since their offering you 2.5T Naq, for 5k of your turns, you can accept one, but trying to accept the other will not work

Except if they were brokered when he had 4999-4997(normal collection), then accepted another broker for a smaller amount (or was sent), then these brokers would still be valid, just not acceptable

Very very true, but judging by the time on the broker: 8;34, and he posted at 8:58, that only leaves 1 turn change, 4 ATs to be accumulated. Meaning, hes 398 ATs over, erm 394 ATs over at the time the brokers were done.

Yes but what could also be true is that he has Personal Attacks. <<< Do not count towards the 10k limit.

don't think this has that much with Spaceys problem but. i don't know if it's a bug but sometimes when i broker someone the brokers doubles....
again sorry for hijacking but i thought it was smarter to just post it here then creating a new topic.

so of course he wouldnt go above the cap coz he's getting rid of them. and as he has 5k turns, both brokers are legit. I dont see what people are saying is the bug here

andell, are you only clicking once? Or do you sometimes double click? Also, try just having resources out you need for the trade, this'll stop it from making another

WHERE is this possible bug allowing peope to hold over 10k ATs come in to it?
There are 2 traders making trades with Spacey in here!

yeh, both offering him 5k AT for 2.5T naq. But he has >5k At already (unless some are personal, which isn't confirmed yet. If they are personal and non-transferable, then this wouldn't be putting him over the limit and there would be no bug)
