Creating Alliances

I was considering creating my own alliance and I want to know I can name my alliance and list myself as the commander... (I have already clicked on the 'Create Alliance' button in-game but I can't name my alliance or list myself as the commander.)
I also just finished searching the alliance rankings (which took a considerable amount of time I might add...) and I couldn't find my self under any search. Can any one explain in detail how one would go about creating an alliance?

Once you creat an Alliance You should have something like this
Alliance:..............(Name of alliance)
Right above your Officer list.
You should be able to click on the name of your alliance which will take you to the Alliance managing screen. You are automaticaly made leader of your alliance.
The Alliance ranking page, only shows 'powerfull' Alliances. You will most likly need at least 6 members before you appear on the actual rankings. However, with the new LIST OF ALLIANCES button you can see ALL alliances, not just ranked ones. It's been awhile since i've messed with it.... so...

There is a bug it would seem.
I will go and post in bug section, you may want to follow.

It doesnt work for me either. It says you dont belong to an alliance even though Ive clicked Create alliance

It's a bug... A number of ppl have confirmed it for me in the bug section.
Give it time
