Debate split from 9/11 thread - NOT A CONSPIRACY DEBATE

I'm sure i'll get panned for saying this but anyways;
Dont you think its time to stop trying to make the event into something it wasnt? It wasnt a declaration of war it wasnt a huge national event. It was one relatively small event in the grand scale of things. Let those that want to remember it, do so, but dont try and make it a 'your not american if you dont' thing or a 'your not for freedom/democracy/'fill in the blank here' thing' as thats just lame.
And its about time the US got a taste of what it has exported the world over, and that is civilian deaths. You've helped create more of those than any other country in your so called police actions & 'wars for democracy'. Should I even mention the fund raising the US allowed to happen for the IRA, which was used to bomb schools and other such targets in mainland UK?? You reap what you sow and the US has sown an awful lot, especially recently.
EDIT: I suppose I should point out that whats really wound me up tihs that this is yet another year where spam about this has once again helped to fill my various mailboxes and really its getting somewhat annoying now.

Patriotism is almost as bad as Religion. That discussion is for another time though...
Of course it was a tragedy and blahblahblah all that, but I just wanted to get that jab in >.>
@Kit-Fox; I agree and disagree and would be more open minded if your post wasn't completely aimed at crucifying the US. Take your Euro-Hate elsewhere (I assume you are European

)

I don't consider said people europeans.

I hardly think this was the best moment to do some usa disappreciation speech of him...

They are whatever their nationality is...

(ie old "Europe of nations"...)
Well, to be more precise, I don't consider them *true* europeans. Now, that's more precise.

Apparently it is now..
and Ashu, I refer to the part of them that makes people blind followers. Too many wars have been started over religion and blind patriotism.

US patriotism is 21st century repacked na$ism. "National capitalism". And since I rank religion quite low... I`ll rank them together. They go hand in hand most of the time anyways since "in god they trust" etc.
Belief in ones own sueriority as a nation? Check.
Militaristic & expansionistic/imperialistic mentality? Check.
Acting agressivly uppon it in what are percieved key areas of lebensraum/sphere of influence? Check.
Unhealthy obsession with father/mother/home-land and using an external enemy like the commies/jews/terrorists/muslims/russkies&chinks as a public face of a threath to clamp down domestic security measures and justify other expenses? Check.
Jawhol onkel Sam!
Condolances to the 4k victims and fammilies. May the million(s) of resulting dead, wounded, displaced & otherwise affected that hold inconsequential passports be of consolation to you.
We will never forget.
Trouble is, neither will the fammilies of the above mentioned...
