From what I understand your main account loses ALL race bonous after ascention and you get +5% across the board to all stats, so effectively every ascended player is the same, same weapons, same tech except for thier title 'nano-tech master' 'system lord' etc

Now cast your mind back before ascention, we had 4 distinct race types with their own weapons, tech etc that made them quite unique.

Currently ascended people (about 400?) are effectively a 5th race with extra bonouses with every ascention, so there are even more variety of opponents out there.

Now lets look to the future, 6 - 12 months down the track we will have another what? 300 - 1000 ascended accunts?

Does anyone think that come june/july the top 1000 players will all be playing off of ascended accounts (except for some die-hards) and the game will lose that player variety?

Do you think that everyone will be using the same weapon stats the same bonous levels and the game will lose that......spark of difference?

Or have I got it all wrong and have missed something blatently obvious?

Some people won't give up their precious Main rank and want to start over again. Personally, I feel the longer people are leaving their ascension, the more they don't want to ascend. I know people in my main alliance, who are really powerful main players, and probably won't ascend, at least for a long time. Especially those with high covert levels.

As for the variety issue, I hope the admins introduce a form of "player customisabilty" for ascended people in main. Like how we can use our various life force, power points etc to improve the 20 (?) or so upgrades to our physical realms and our ascended selves (life force, max life, enery absortion etc), in a way that will work in main.

Or at the very least, maybe a couple of unique techs that only ascended people get, maybe have each race has maybe 5 to choose from, and you pick\buy 2 of them.

For me, the way you can customize yourself compared to the other players, is awesome, and something I really like about ascension.

Don't worry, I am sure Forum will by June next year intoduce something that helps make each race different. If not, by that time hopefully enough people would have ascended we could put some presure on him to do so. But for now, I want to see other things become available in Ascention. Cosmic Trade, Decension, etc, you get the idea.

Well, I know quite a few people who have ascended and changed there back to goa'uld or repli.

After the 1st ascension, the bonuses (5% accross the board) don't amount to much. Once you re-ascend, you definately have an advantage over non-ascended players.

One thing is for sure, I miss my Goa'uld income bonus...

and who said there friends switched back to gould after there first ascension lol your m8s are pure down right dumb when they and if they can ascend for the second time they will only get the 5% again and not a 10% idiots

er, no, you do get 10% all teh way up to 30% and then you just get 1% additions

If you change races to a basic race, and choose to use an advanced race again on repeat ascension, you start at the minimum 5% bonus ... even if it is your 2nd, or 3rd, or 5th, time to reach ascension

first off, dont be such an **Filtered** caling be a n00b, secondly, i thought you ment that not matter what you'll always have the 5% bonus, no more no less...i did not know that the whole changing race to a normal race was in the discussion

I switched to Replicator for two reasons:

1. it would take 16 ascensions to meet the covert bonus, and 25 more to have the equivalent bonus on missions.
2. I don't plan to reascend.

WHEEE i lost a whole 4 weapons and i guess some troops....good job there jix, picking on someone that just got in the ascension server a few days ago, that REALLY makes ya look like a man aint it?
