The Grand Campaign.

Right! Basically.. I am bored.

Some time ago though, a few alliance leaders, Brythalious of WoB and myself included began to adopt an idea of a certain league or a battle league to which I advanced the idea of us actually taking a map.

The map would be divided up into sections. Certain sections would give bonus's, have a victory point worth and each section would have a type of war designated to it. 99% of the time these will be alliance wars, the rest of the time they would be vendetta's. On top of that we'll add a few more twists such as alliance leader battles and beyond.

On top of that, each alliance would make a single move every so many days (sorta like a turn).

The whole point of it is to actually bring back some fun to the game. We'd have a map, tactics can be used and even better role play can ACTUALLY return with some force of validity.

I admit, I have been spurred on into actually coming forward with this by the newly made chapel of role play (dedicated to myself of course, me being the Hallowed Elder God of Role Play).

So, to finally bring the post to a conclusion. I would like to know who is interested in partaking in this league? I will of course be approaching other individuals.. but the idea of this would be in the most ease of respects each alliance/side starting off with a great an equal standing as possible.

For example.. we wont be intending two forces to have a go at an alliance planetary war if one side has 15 accounts with eternally merlin'd dual planets. It's just outrageous.

Also, on further notes I intend that this league be based on playing merit as best as possible. As such cash spenders are strictly banned from signing up (I know who the main ones are). This may change in future to move from them being completely excluded for just their alliances starting with a massive handy cap.

I also add that this is for alliances only. Entire empires are not allowed to sign up together, and forces will be limited in their number of temporary allies.

If you have any other questions.. just ask. I will be more than happy to answer and the rules will of course be up for debate except those of penalties for cash spenders.

SUMMARY

The battle League!

- Will run annually for a given time period.
- Will consist of a galaxy map split into quadrants. Each one will contain a certain number of open spots for the battle league entries (Alliances only, not empires).
- Each Quadrant will be split into a number of squares. These will contain bonus', and each will be assigned a type of alliance war or a vendetta.
- Alliance with the most V/P's wins.
- Each Alliance wishing to enter may not do so with $$ spenders or will suffer a penalty/be banned depending on the severity of the spending.
- As it stands, current prize will be bragging rights.
- Apply by posting so here or pm'ing me.
- Rule are up for discussion, but only when you're signed up.

i was about to say use risk as the game board. lol.
are people from seperate alliances aloud to form a team but remain in their respective alliances

that gave me a great idea. you should make this a team thing. 5 people instead of allliance vs alliance.

You sunk my battleship!

On a serious note, I can already expect Mayhem to be excluded from this since some of us have eternally merlined dual planets and some people use their odd job or spare income they have on naquadah/turns/merloons.

Aye.. unfortunately.. love it or hate it.. using $$ does lend advantages to players and this competition is not meant to be at how many $$ someone can pump into it to win or make sure they're untouchable in certain circumstances. This competition is about playing the game and abusing it for all the fun we can get from it.

On top of that.. it's a bit difficult to try and get say.. Leaf Village or Nemesis or anyone to enter into a planet stealing fight against Mayhem. How are they supposed to take you on in a five day planet stealing war and have any hope of victory? Fair enough..you guys worked/bought good accounts.. but I want to try and avoid futility. Although... there is no rule in place stopping you guys from signing up save the $$ one. I only asked if people signing up could be aware that we want to try and make it more levelled to begin with.

I am open to discussing that. Could be a better idea!
